Nakamura Rui is a divorced but highly successful producer in publishing. She meets Suzuki Kou, an ambitious buisiness man 17 years her junior, and finds herself getting aggressively persued by him. Eventually they begin a steaming affair. Meanwhile, a young couple moves into the house next to Nakamura's and the wife (Suzuki Marie) begins to confide in her about the frustrations of their conjugal life.

    The story begins with a band of bachelors Hamza and his widowers elders includes; his grandfather, father Hatim and paternal uncle Luqman; shifting to their new home in a small, lively colony called Prem Gali. The moment Hamza steps in the neighborhood, his eyes land on the pretty Joya, and in a clichéd-turn-of-events, she becomes love at first sight for him. Meanwhile, Joya and her family too are residents of Prem Gali, but are considered infamous and notorious due to the streak of failed marriage running in the household. From her grandmother Rahat, mother Shireen to her maternal aunt Musarrat; all have been divorced yet are empowered and emotional in their ways. There is also a loud and shrewd landlord, Haseena who rents her upper floor to Hamza and the men. While she also runs a marriage bureau, she has an unmarried daughter, Fariya who runs a beauty parlor inside their home.

    The fun begins when families of Hamza and Joya encountered with each other. After so many attempts of Hamza, Joya falls in love with him. Both tries to convert their love marriage into arranged one as Joya's mother strongly opposes love marriages. Joya's mother came up with condition that she will accept the proposal of Hamza only if Hamza will stay with them as Ghar Damad (A man who lives with his wife`s parents), on which dispute happened. Later on Tau Hidyat came up to Shireen with solution that make Hamza's family your paying guest, she agreed and finally Joya and Hamza got married.

    After marriage, Joya and Hamza, both got irritated by their families as they had to fight with the insecurities of their families. Joya's mother, grandmother and aunt used to give her totally different advices because they didn't want Joya to get divorced as they got, on the other hand Hamza's father, grandfather and uncle couldn't even stand the sneeze of Joya because they didn't want Joya to die as their wives died. Then Joya and Hamza got irritated to face the insecurities and experiments of their families and run away from their home. However Hamza's grandfather took them back by his fake heart attack plan.

    Later on, the sweet bickering started between Musarrat and Luqman. Musarat, who had started living a happy life, Luqman fell in love with her. Luqman send his marriage proposal to her but she disagreed. However Luqman reassured her that she would always be happy. In the last episode, they got married.

    Durr-e-Shehwar's (Samina Peerzada) daughter, Shandana (Nadia Jamil), and Durr-e-Shehwar's husband, Mansoor's (Qavi Khan) nephew, Haider (Noman Ejaz) have been married to each other for the last eight years. But recently there has been a breach in their relationship due to which Shandana decides to spend some time at her maternal home in Murree along with her young daughter, Sophia (Sophia Syed).

    Both Durr-e-Shehwar and Mansoor love Shandana and Sophia a lot. But Shandana envies her mother thinking that she led a comfortable and happy life with a loving husband and nothing to worry about. And thus, she often compares Haider with her father. Shandana also undergoes a stage of semi-depression and evens thinks of divorcing Haider. When Mansoor gets to know this, he gets angry with Haider. He reports this matter to his sister i.e. Haider's mother, thus, further complicating the matter.

    Unable to see Shandana in such a devastated condition, finally one day Durr-e-Shehwar narrates her own life story to Shandana and reveals that life for her wasn't as easy as Shandana thinks it to be. She tells her that when she had got married (Sanam Baloch as Young Dur-e-Shehwar) and moved to Mansoor's (Mikaal Zulfiqar as Young Mansoor) house, Mansoor's mother (Saba Faisal) was cold towards her and did not use to appreciate her for good qualities. Durr-e-Shehwar had to struggle a lot to gain her mother-in-law's acceptance and also the true love of Mansoor, who had earlier neglected her on the words of his mother. Hearing this story, Shandana realizes that her mother's life wasn't a bed of roses and being a housewife did not ensure happiness for Durr-e-Shehwar. This does blemish Shandana's respect for her father but it calms her down and gives her morale to start a new life with Haider.
