The concept of the show is to select a group of promising rappers from open auditions and whittle down that number down through various assignments, with contestant survival dependent on the "producers," a group of experienced rappers who also serve as mentors. Eventually the rappers are divided into small teams headed by those producers. From there each contestant will face a different team's rapper in head-to-head single-elimination rounds where survival in the competition is dependent on votes from a live studio audience. In the third season, there was also a "Revival Round" in which contestants previously eliminated had a chance to continue in the competition.

Along with the prize money given in previous seasons, the winner will receive a considerable investment in their music production, from album production, concerts, marketing, and other business ventures.

“Sign Here” aims to discover artists with wide-ranging talent — including rap, vocal, producing, and performing — to lead the next generation of hip hop in Korea as the newest member of AOMG.

From episode 5, the program format changed to 2 rounds of song dictation, with a Snack Time in between the dictation segments.

The show features 3 non-celebrity couples on the verge of breaking up, and it is hosted by Jang Do Yeon, Yang Se Chan, Heo Young Ji, and composer Code Kunst. The couples stay together for a week on Jeju Island. During this time, they exchange partners and go on dates.
