Oh Ha Ra is a hotshot divorce lawyer whose nickname in legal circles is “the “goddess of litigation.” One of the reasons she is such a dab hand at divorce proceedings, perhaps, is the fact that she has divorced her long-time lover and fellow lawyer Goo Eun Beom. The series talk about four different couples living together in one apartment complex.

Both in their thirties, Oh Do Shi is a voice actor and Ryu Du Ri is a blogger. They simply chose to live together instead of getting married, and have been sharing an apartment for two years.

Jeong Yeong Jun and Choi Ji Nyeo are a couple that's twelve years apart in age. Ji Nyeo has the personality of a penny-pinching ajumma and basically supports her younger boyfriend in the hope that he will someday realize his dream, while Yeong Jun is an unemployed musician who carries around a guitar he doesn't know how to play. They've been living together for a year, and are quick to fight and make up.

Park Hwan Jong and Ha Seol Eun are in their twenties and have just moved in together. Seol Eun wants her boyfriend to believe that she's the perfect embodiment of femininity, and works tirelessly to keep up the illusion.

Lee Jun Jae is a loner who prefers to stay at home, but is forced to find a roommate for financial reasons. Prince Sungwon (Kim Dong-Wook) sees Hwa-Yeon (Jo Yeo-Jeong), the daughter of a wealthy nobleman, for the first time and falls in love, but Hwa-Yeon loves Kwon-Yoo (Kim Min-Jun). Kwon-Yoo saved her father's life and now lives with her family.

Meanwhile, Prince Sungwon's mother (Park Ji-Young) notices her son's infatuation with Hwa-Yeon, but she doesn't think Hwa-Yeon is good enough for her son. Prince Sungson's mother then schemes to have Hwa-Yeon become the concubine to her stepson the King (Jung Chan). Hwa-Yeon and her true love Kwon-Yoo run away when they learn of this plan, but are soon captured by her father's men. In order to save Kwon-Yoo's life, Hwa-Yeon agrees to become the King's Concubine.

Hwa-Yeon gives birth to a son a little bit less than a year later. She will then become a Queen. Several years later, the King becomes sick and dies suddenly. Prince Sungwon becomes the King, but his mother now wields true power. Hwa-Yeon then learns that the King's stepmother had the King killed to put Prince Sungwon on the throne. Hwa-Yeon also realizes that to survive in the royal palace and protect her own son, she will have to change.

King Sungwon is now agonized over his desires for his deceased brother's wife Hwa-Yeon and his mother's domineering ways. One day, Hwa-Yeon sees her true love Kwon-Yoo in the palace and he has now become an Eunuch.

Jeon Jin Ho is pretending to be gay in order to gain access to a mysterious mansion that was built by a famous architect Mr.Park. His daughter, Park Kae In would never accept him as a renter so he pretended to be gay.His hobbies include organization and ironing, and he’s known for his stoic poker face. He’s a stickler for cleanliness, but he also has a talent for figuring out women’s feelings. Kae In is very trusting even though she has a habit of being betrayed. The story, which starts in Seoul in 2002, is a bizarre love triangle of a comedian who never smiles, a Taekwondo instructor, and a whining woman who wants to be a TV star but who'll do anything to avoid being poor.

After the statute of limitation expires on the murders he has committed, Lee Du-seok publishes an autobiography describing all his murders in great detail. Detective Choi, who investigated Lee's murders 15 years ago starts the chase once again and Han Ji-soo, who lost her daughter to Lee, pledges vengeance. Meanwhile, another killer appears, casting doubt to whether Lee is the real serial killer.
