On a winter morning on the way to work, Ki Young finds Gil Ho sleeping on the wooden bench in front of his house. Gil Ho is a teenager who has run away from home because he can no longer face the domestic violence he suffers there. Ki Young, who seems tough but has a tender heart, lets Gil Ho stay in his house for a few days and Gil Ho comes to trust Ki Young. Hong Ji Hyo is a “parachute hire” (someone who got hired based on their family connections). She has a steady job and a solid family background. Although they are no longer passionately in love, she also has a boyfriend that she’s dated for four years. The couple is beginning to think of marriage when her boyfriend suddenly goes missing.

Heo Bo Ra is an unsuccessful Twitch streamer and a YouTuber with only a few hundred subscribers, whose content is all about mysteries. She’s a warrior who wields a keyboard as her weapon, and she’s a member of the UFO watcher community. She spends day after day inside her room, editing her videos.

Goo Yeo Reum is a television producer in the tenth year of her professional career. Although she works harder than most producers, the shows she makes all seem to flop. Then she's selected to produce a new dating-themed reality TV show called “Kingdom of Love.” Her neighbour and best friend of twenty years is Park Jae Hoon, a plastic surgeon who has lost all his passion for work. Their relationship is close but purely platonic. Park Jae Hoon is jaded by his experiences and has also essentially given up on love. As such, he only ever pursues casual relationships.

In the planning stage of the show’s production, Goo Yeo Reum runs into struggles, having difficulty finding suitable bachelors to appear on the programme. She eventually turns to Park Jae Hoon in desperation. To help her, he agrees to become a contestant on the show. It is a movie starring deaf people, but it shows the bright side of life without using disability as a tragic element. Bo Ri’s intentions are pure, but we cannot support her self-inflicted disability. The movie makes us eager to see things in a positive light where the innocence of childhood and family love to meet.

Shin Ha Kyun will star as Se Ha, a man who has a brilliant mind and an impressive way with words, which he uses to fight back against the prejudices of society. Lee Kwang Soo will star as Dong Goo, a man with outstanding athletic abilities and excellent physical health.

The two protagonists each have a different tragic flaw: Se Ha’s weakness is his body, while Dong Goo’s weakness is his brain. Although the two men are not biologically related, they are an inseparable pair of close friends who have spent over 20 years together living almost as a single entity.

They then recruit other swindlers; Suk Dong, Choon Ja, and Chief Kim, to throw bait at Jang Doo Chil's right-hand man, Seung Gun.
