The South Korean President travels to a villa to enjoy his vacation. After three gunshots are fired, he disappears. His bodyguard Han Tae-Kyung (Park Yoo-Chun) then attempts to find the President.

Han Tae-Kyung (Park Yoo-Chun) works as a presidential guard. He goes to the hospital to see his father who is a high ranking government official. His father got into a car accident last night and is now in critical condition. Han Tae-Kyung only watches his father through a window for a short time before going back to work.

Meanwhile, President Lee Dong-Whi (Son Hyun-Joo) is in his third year of service as the South Korean President. He received huge support during his first year, but his approval rating has declined ever since. A special prosecutor is now investigating President Lee Dong-Whi's finances prior to becoming the President. To cheer himself up, the President decides to make a visit to a traditional market.

During the President's visit to the traditional market, Han Tae-Kyung's phone keeps ringing. He feels that something might be wrong with his father. Then, a man throws white powder on the President and the bodyguards respond accordingly. After the incident, Han Tae-Kyung receives a text message that his father has passed away. Meanwhile, Han Tae-Kyung is reprimanded because the President was hit with the powder. He leaves his badge and gun behind and goes to his father's funeral.

At the funeral, a woman talks to Han Tae-Kyung. She asks him if he has seen a white envelope among the things his father left behind. She also tells him that her father's car accident might have been premeditated murder. She gives him her name card. Her name is Yoon Bo-Won (Park Ha-Sun) and she is a police officer.

Soon, Han Tae-Kyung hears from a dying man that "The President will die on March 5th". As Han Tae-Kyung attempts to enter the vacation villa where the President is staying, he is blocked by soldiers because Han Tae-Kyung doesn't have his badge. Three gun shots are then fired inside the President's villa.

A little girl is kidnapped and murdered in the jurisdiction of gang buster detective Yang Chun-dong, who fights against the gangs for three years now. Also the case of the murdered girl is up to him. During the case, he realizes the crime scene is the same as the mysterious wall paper he saw once on the street. He starts tracking down the painter, a young man called Joon. But when Chun-dong is arresting Joon, he realizes that this boy has the so-called 'psycho-metry' ability to see the past by touching someone or something with his right hand. His whole life he had lived alone because he thought about his ability as a curse. So, as a monetary, he tried to help to solve crimes. He is now responsible for the cars that have access to the ex-president's house.

Early in his reign, King Se Jong accidentally causes the death of his in-laws and their slaves in an attempt to save them from his brutal father, King Tae Jong. Two young slaves, Ddol Bok and his friend Dam, survive but neither knows the other has. Ddol Bok blames the king and vows to kill him to avenge the deaths of everyone he loved. He spends several years becoming a great warrior. Dam, who has a photographic memory, becomes a court lady called So Yi, but she feels so guilty about her role in the other slaves' deaths that she is mute.

Ddol Bok returns to the palace under the name of Kang Chae Yoon in order to kill the king. However, he becomes embroiled in the mystery surrounding the deaths of several Hall of Worthies scholars. The deaths were caused by a secret society called "Hidden Root," which was created long ago by followers of Jeong Do Jeon, with the goal of giving more power to ministers and less to the king. King Tae Jong killed Jeong Do Jeon and all of his family except his nephew, Jeong Gi Joon, who is now the leader of Hidden Root and lives in disguise not far from King Se Jong.

Go Yoo Rang confident and optimistic about life in general. She falls in love for the very first time with Chi Young. But Chi Young suddenly leaves her to return to Seoul. Desperate to be with Chi Young, Yoo Rang flies to Seoul only to find out that he is already a married man.

Lee Jung-Yeon (Lee Min-Jung) dated Do-Hyun for 6 years and they will get married soon. Whenever she thinks about Do-Hyun, she can't stop smiling. During her middle and high school years Jung-Yeon was a quiet student with ordinary scores, but Do-Hyun appeared in front of her and they began a relationship. She is certain that Do-Hyun loves her. Jung-Yeon also has one thing that Do-Hyun does not have. That is a family.

Dream High tells the story of six students at Kirin Art High School who work to achieve their dreams of becoming music stars in the Korean music industry. Go Hye Mi is a student who had majored in classical music but has to give up her dream by entering Kirin Art High School to pay off her father's debt. However, she needs to get two other students to also come to the school in order for her to enroll in the school conditionally. Tae Soo tries to steal from a gang. The gang catches Tae Soo's brother, Tae Jin, instead. The incident causes the brothers to separate. Tae Soo becomes a mob fixer and an assassin. Tae Jin becomes a police detective. When a call brings the brothers together, they get ready for brotherly bonding, but Tae Jin gets killed. Tae Soo decides to get revenge on his brother's killer.
