Oh Hyun Jin has had a glittering career in her work life. She is the youngest member on the board of executives at the company she works at and is used to acing everything she does. But when she delivers her first child, she is in for a shock. Giving birth was far more difficult than she had expected, and she quickly discovers that although she is a dab hand at all things work-related, she hasn’t got the first clue about how to bring up a baby. After being discharged from hospital, she heads to a birth care center – an exclusive establishment where even A-list stars come to get postpartum care. She is dismayed to realize that she is the oldest mother in the center, and embarrassed to notice that everyone else seems to know what they are doing when it comes to looking after babies.

Fortunately, the other mothers at the center prove inspirational. Among their number is Cho Eun Jung, aka the Queen Bee – a seemingly perfect mother whom everyone wants to befriend in order to learn childcare secrets. And Choi Hye Sook is the charismatic center manager – a veritable font of knowledge about all things childcare-related.

Kim Shin's brother committed suicide after his dumpling factory was ruined by false accusation engineered by Chae Do Woo (the head of a big conglemerate).He went to jail on charges of attempted murder when he hotheadedly confronted the TV reporter to set the record straight.His girlfriend Seo Kyung Ah tried to help him pay off the debt but ended up marrying Chae Do Woo. Chae Do Woo's sister, Eun Soo, tried to make amends for her family's misdeed and provided hope to Kim Shin's life. 

The drama is a melodrama which depicts the story of a man, Kang Ma Roo who has been betrayed by the love of his life, Han Jae Hee. Years after the incident, Ma Roo begins to live a life of self-indulgence. He sacrificed his well being for his girlfriend only to discover that she never looked back and married another man for wealth. Thus, he sets off to take revenge. And in order to execute his revenge, he approaches Seo Eun Gi, the resilient and cold daughter of the man Jae Hee married.

Former national swimmer Cheon Soo dreams of traveling to Palau, and to fund his trip he works as a swimming instructor by day while gambling at night. However, after losing a game of poker he finds himself heavily in debt and in trouble with the loan sharks. Kang, the head of a local drug syndicate, offers to pay off Cheon Soo's debts; in return, Cheon Soo must work as a "marine boy", a mule who smuggles drugs across the open waters. Detective Kim is intent on capturing Kang and faced with no other choice, Cheon Soo agrees to work as a spy on his behalf. His situation becomes further complicated when he falls for Yu Ri, a jazz singer under Kang's charge and the daughter of Kang's best friend. But Yu Ri suspects Kang of killing her father, and she and Cheon Soo plot to take the drug money for themselves.

Lee Jung Do's father is a swindler and intends to resume his old habits as soon as he got out of prison even though he has promised his son to go straight. Because of his father's record, LJD had a hard time finding jobs but he overcomes these obstacles, passes law exams, and becomes a prosecutor. Oh Young Joo is a detective and her precinct is in LJD's neighborhood. Kim Joon Ki who comes from a well off family is also keen to become a prosecutor. He meets OYJ through a blind date and has continued to pursue her even though she isn't interested. Moon Chae Ri is a small time swindler who hooks up with LJD's dad in his plan to do one last job before fulfilling his promise to his son to stay out of trouble.

Yeon Gae Somun is the general who killed the penultimate King of Goguryeo, Yeongnyu, in 642. It was a period of tremendous instability, both because of the pressure by Shilla, but also because the political situation in Goguryeo was very confusing. After General Yeon put Yeongnyu's nephew Bojang as his puppet on the throne following his coup d'etat, he tried with little success to calm down Yeon's two sons in trying to gain power, and started repressing Buddhism (the Kingdom's official religion) in favour of Taoism.
