Yeom Hae Sang comes from a rich background. He teaches Korean folklore at a university. Since he was a child, he has had the special ability to see demons in this world. He even saw his mother killed by a demon in front of him when he was young. Yeom Hae Sang meets Ku San Young and he faces the demon which killed his mother.

Lee Hong Sae is a lieutenant in the violent crimes investigation team. He only cares about advancing his career in the police department. Due to Ku San Young and Yeom Hae Sang, he gets involved in mysterious cases.

Gangi, Soyeong, and Aram are best friends who go to the same high school. Kwon Nam Woo stands in sharp contrast to this, sifting through investigation records and backing up his doubts on the case with determination. He repeatedly questions the defendant’s self-declaration of guilt and reminds judge Kim Joon Gyum of the importance of justice. Bit by bit, he breaks down the majority opinion by pushing for a not guilty verdict.

The jurors are ordinary people, but, after they become jurors, they seek out the truth of the case.

Persona is a an anthology series containing 4 different parts. Each part directed by different directors tells separate stories starring IU as the lead.

Shot in black and white, "Walking at Night", directed by Kim Jong Kwan, recounts the sorrowful story of two former lovers who go for a walk in the man's dream, reminiscing on their love and saying things they do not have the chance to in real life.
