The crisis of middle age hits Chun Mei in waves. She begins to think about how she can deal with the pressures of life and how to accept that she's ageing.
From everyone else's perspective, Zhang Chun Mei's life is perfect. Her son has been admitted to a top school due to his excellent grades; her husband is a professor with outstanding credentials; Chun Mei herself is up for promotion as an editor of their magazine. Chun Mei has a house, a car and abundant savings; but in fact, only she knows her own suffering.
Middle age crisis came without warning, what's worse, Chun Mei's husband Wei Qiang has disappeared. After putting together all the clues, Chun Mei has enough reason to suspect that her husband is cheating on her. When Wei Qiang seems to have thought things through and finally goes home, he asks for a divorce.

Huaqi eventually becomes one of China’s top 500 machinery companies with its products being exported overseas. The individuals who dedicated their youth to their work not only won in their careers but also found love.
Detective Ji Bai has to train a new recruit, the criminal profiler Xu Xu. Although she is great at determining one's thoughts, she doesn't know how to interact well with people. But that's not the reason why Ji Bai intend to fire her. She's very talented in the art of profiling, yet lacks in physical ability, running as slowly as a snail. Still, impressed by each other abilities, the teacher-student pair slowly fall in love in the midst of their investigations.
