While on his way to kidnap Choi Ro Hee, Kim Myung Joon has an accident, hitting a young girl. The victim is none other than Choi Ro Hee, who has lost her memory.

Pretending to be her father, Kim Myung Joon brings Choi Ro Hee to his home from the hospital. Whenever he contacts Choi Ro Hee’s parents for the ransom money, his calls remain unanswered. Deciding to investigate, he drives to their house, only to witness their dead bodies being carried out on stretchers.

Making matters worse, Choi Ro Hee has now uncovered his web of lies, including his not being her father.

Residents, who are evicted from their homes in a designated urban renewal, demonstrate against their removal. The police arrive and attempt to end the demonstration. A 20-year-old police officer and a 16-year-old boy, who is the son of a demonstrator, die during the melee. The boy's father is also arrested. When an NIS agent asks how long it will take to bring In-Ok into South Korea, Poongsan points to his watch to show 3 hours. The agent gives an incredulous laugh, but gets back into his car and waits for Poongsan. Poongsan runs off into the night towards the DMZ border. Poongsan heads out to Pyeongyang to retrieve In-Ok. While they are crossing the border back into South Korea, In-Ok feels an attachment to this mysterious man who doesn't speak ...
