Set in Harbin under the puppet Manchukuo regime in 1944, Song Zhuo Wen, an underground party member disguised as a railway police officer, is mistakenly identified by the head of the spy department, Guan Xue, as her lifesaver—but is actually Zhuo Wen's long-lost twin brother, Song Zhuo Wu. To uncover the ultimate mission of Kwantung Army officer Asano Daigo in Harbin, Zhuo Wen decides to use Guan Xue to infiltrate the spy department, but the sudden appearance of Zhuo Wu plunges him into unexpected trouble. Guan Xue is cold-blooded and suspicious, cruel and ruthless, while Zhuo Wu is impulsive by nature, often unintentionally sabotaging Zhuo Wen's operations. Only through the arrangements of their superiors do the brothers cooperate and protect each other, avoiding the overt and covert struggles among their colleagues in the spy department and eventually gaining the trust of Guan Xue and the Japanese officials. With the help of influencer Jiang Jun Hao, He Huan joins the tide of the times and participates in forming integrated media for TV stations. While her career starts to become smooth-sailing, she is faced with a new choice emotionally. Her husband's selfishness and ruthlessness has led He Huan to become an independent person. Meanwhile, her relationship with Jiang Jun Hao has gone through many phases as they move towards a relationship of appreciation and mutual understanding.

"Khem Sorn Plai" is the story of a beautiful girl named Cherd, who is stuck in a marriage with Dr. Ruengboon in an overseas country. In a loveless marriage, she finds herself falling for, Lanna, a Thai student who has come overseas to study. However, Dr. Ruengboon refuses to give Cherd a divorce and this keeps her bound to him unwillingly.

Eventually, Lanna returns to Thailand and begins a new life by marrying Yaowayod, a young woman who is perfect in both looks and social status — and most of all was chosen for him by his mother. Despite having a sweet wife, Lanna can not forget Cherd and continues to keep the dazzling girl in his heart silently.

When Dr. Ruengboon discovers that Lanna has gotten married, he finally divorces Cherd and so she too returns to Thailand and begins a new life. However, despite many young men ready to peruse her, she still holds a lit candle for Lanna — unable to forget him. And what of Lanna, who expresses the desire to get together with Cherd again, while not wanting to break up with his wife Yaowayod?

The hidden needle in this story is the expression of passions in young men and women and how Cherd, after a long period of being misguided, decides to be free of the debt of the word "love".

Yang Jung Kook is a veteran conman, but he has never been arrested. One day, his girlfriend suddenly runs off with the money they were going to use for their marriage. Yang Jung Kook is extremely upset and he goes out to drink. He meets Kim Mi Young. She is going through a hard time herself because of her boyfriend's cheating ways. Yang Jung Kook tells her that he runs a business and Kim Mi Young tells him that she works for a small company. Kim Mi Young is actually a detective. They find comfort with each other and they develop a relationship romantically. On their wedding day, Kim Mi Young reveals to Yang Jung Kook that she is actually a detective.

Meanwhile, Park Hoo Ja is a mysterious woman. She runs a private loan business that she inherited from her father. Her father was swindled by Yang Jung Kook. Park Hoo Ja finds Yang Jung Kook and blackmails him into running for a national assembly seat.

Kusakari Hotaru is married to Kusakari Goro and she works as a pharmacist. She holds a secret that she is really a ninja and part of Koka Ninja’s family. Her husband holds a routine job as a postal delivery man, but he has a secret as well. He is also a ninja and pat of Iga Ninja’s family. Even though Kusakari Hotaru and Kusakari Goro are a married couple, they are unaware their partner is a ninja. For generations, the Koka Ninja and Iga Ninja families have been rivals and quite hostile to each other. While Kusakari Hotaru and Kusakari Goro married because of love and their marriage life started off well, their relationship has deteriorated over things like home chores and using the bathroom. An assassination then takes place. Will Kusakari Hotaru and Kusakari Goro choose their marriage or their family affiliation?
