It is based on an ongoing seinen manga series written by Masayuki Kusumi and illustrated by Jiro Taniguchi that has also been adapted into a Japanese television drama series.

Former police officer Asahina, a lighthearted young man, works for a security company. One day, he is appointed as a bodyguard and makes a team with middle-aged Ishimaru. He is a former company president labeled as coward for his cautious personality.
