Ittetsu and Maitsuko are married, but they are not just any normal couple. They robbed a bank and took a cool million or two from the capitalists. Then they duly vanished. Years have passed and their children have congregated to divide their parents' money, but first there is the matter of arrangements and a funeral.

Kazunari is the half-assed younger brother who appears to be thoughtful and diligent, and his older brother Takuji is a violent troublemaker. Takuji finished his prison sentence for robbery and has made himself comfortable at Kazunari's apartment. Haru (Toyoshima Hana) is a rather cool fifth-grade elementary school student who shares the same tastes as her mother’s younger sister Yuko (Kaho) and can tell Yuko what she really feels.

On the first day of the summer vacation, Haru is kidnapped. The culprit is her free-spirited father Takashi (Tsumabuki Satoshi) who disappeared from home two months ago. He is scruffy, pathetic, poor and unemployed. Her dependable mother Kyoko (Kinami Haruka) has given up on him and they have been living apart. While Haru neither likes nor dislikes her good-for-nothing father, she gets excited about the kidnapping which will take her where she likes. But Takashi seems to have made some bargain with her mother by holding Haru hostage. Haru is in the dark about the details. Her father brings her to the sea, mountains and various places.

During this time, Haru learns how the romance between her parents started, is piggybacked for kilometres and even meets his ex-girlfriend Nori-chan (Mitsushima Hikari). Through this strange yet thrilling summer journey, she gets to know a side of her father that was previously unknown to her. Takashi eventually runs out of money and the “trip” between father and daughter comes to an end.

He is the man who murdered Taira’s younger sister, Takako, and made it look like an accident six years ago … … Kato Takanori, his former brother-in-law. Kato’s unapologetic and insolent attitude angers Taira. This anger reaches a boil and something unusual happens to him. Taira is possessed by the spirit of a man called the God of Evildoing, who died 40 years ago. He goes up against the death row inmates for justice, and starts to wage a battle beyond his duty as a prison officer.

Mashiro Moritaka ("Saiko"), with his superb drawing skill, is invited by his writing genius classmate Takagi Akito ("Shujin") to tread the difficult path of the mangaka. His sights are set on his naive yet earnest joint dream with Azuki Miho, who is aiming to become a voice actress. Saiko and Shujin team up as writer and artist, aiming to be serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump, make a hit, and then release an anime. They bring their manuscripts into editors and set off on the road to becoming pro manga artists.

On 9 August (Showa 20) 1945, one streetcar starts to run on the streets of Hiroshima which has been devastated. The surviving employees of the electric tram company had begun recovery work since the day after the atomic bomb was dropped. The bent tracks were hammered down and the overhead wires were set up again. A mere three days after the bombing, they manage to resume service on a section of the route. The drivers are young girls in their mid-teens who work while studying at the company’s girls school for home economics. Working in place of the males who have gone off to war, they are crew of the streetcar and even in charge of driving. 16-year-old Amada Toyoko (Kuroshima Yuina) is one of them. Born in a farming village in the outskirts of Hiroshima, Toyoko had heard that she could study while working, and came to Hiroshima. She was driving during the morning shift on the day that the atomic bomb was dropped, but miraculously survived although she was thrown out of the streetcar. Now she stands at the driver’s seat with her head wrapped in a bandage. The car is filled with people who are going in search of family members. Everyone clings to hope and stares ahead. Then the end of the war greets them. The streetcar continues to run on the streets of Hiroshima which has lost everything.

“Once the streetcar runs, Hiroshima will come to life again!” Matsuura Akitaka (Abe Hiroshi), the head of the electric tram company’s electrical section and a widower with three children, is tasked with restoring the main routes within one month. The streetcar which travels the forlorn streets becomes the hope of Hiroshima before anyone realises it.

Hiroshi (Kenichi Matsuyama) is now 30-years-old and lethargic, but Pyonkichi, the frog imprinted on his shirt, is always energetic. Sometimes Hiroshi does not wear t-shirts with Pyonkichi, but Pyonkichi always encourages Hiroshi.

Yureru (a.k.a Sway) tells story about 2 brothers facing each other in the court because of death of their childhood friend case. In Yamanshi, Minori (Kagawa Teruyuki) runs a family gas station. His younger brother Takeru (Odagiri Joe) is a successful photographer in Tokyo. In a family reunion Takeru returns home and go hiking together with his brother. Along with them, their childhood friend Chieko (Makimura Yoko). In this trip a tragic incident happened. Chieko falls and died. It is not clear, is it an accident, or is it murder? The two brothers are pulled into a court investigation in which secrets and true personalities are gradually revealed.

In 1966, a factory employee, Iwao Hakamda was arrested for murdering his boss and his wife and two children. Despite his continuous denial, he eventually confessed under duress and was sentenced to death. The youngest among the three judges, Norimichi Kumamoto convinced he was innocent but his vote was over ruled and the worse, he was tasked to write the verdict. A year later, Kumamoto quit the bench in protest and after 40 years, he broke his silence to denounce the verdict. This is the story about two men who were born in the same year and go through the extreme hardship on the opposite ends of the world. Hakamada is now believed the world longest serving death row inmate.

Ichiko lives at her parents' home. She rarely hangs out with other people. Things change when her younger sister divorces and moves back with her child. Ichiko and her sister's relationship goes bad, causing Ichiko to move out and live alone. What brings happiness to Ichiko is to watch a middle-aged boxer practice at a boxing gym. The boxing gym is located between the 100 yen shop where she works and her home.

One day, Ichiko and the middle-aged boxer meet and they begin to live together.

Set within the fictional city of Mahoro, Tada Keisuke runs a "benriya" - a general problem solver for hire. His assistant is his former high school classmate Gyoten Haruhiko. A big crisis then occurs for them. ~~ Based on the novel "Mahoro Eki Mae Kyousoukyoku" by Shion Miura.

A young man Kentaro Saeki (Haruma Miura) keeps failing his bar test and does not know what to do any more. His older sister Keiko is a freelance writer. Kentaro and Keiko begin to search for information on their grandfather Kyuzo Miyabe (Junichi Okada) who died in the special forces during World War II.

Saburo, an ordinary high school student, travels back in time to the Sengoku era (1549). He encounters a young lord who looks exactly like him and is told, “Be my substitute. I’m the eldest son of the Oda family, Oda Nobunaga.” After the young lord leaves, Saburo is mistaken for Nobunaga by a vassal and taken to the castle. He starts to live as Oda Nobunaga from this day. The young samurai of the Oda family, which is merely a minor feudal lord, set out towards the extraordinary dream of unifying the whole country through the power of Saburo.

Saburo, a person from modern times who has no experience killing people, does not understand the willingness of the warlords of the Sengoku era to lay down their lives for their family. It is the same for the vassals too. They have had a hard time understanding Nobunaga’s actions ever since the ill-mannered, wilful Saburo took over. Despite this “generation gap across space and time”, they are soon on the brink of achieving their dream.

25-year-old Kotaro Ozu (Takahiro Miura) was an ordinary salaryman, but he decided to quit his job. He then begins work as a teacher at an all-girl high school. 32-year-old Takako Hara works at the same school as Kotaro. Takako begins to have feelings for Kotaro, who is younger than her. Even though Kotaro has a fiance, they are attracted to each other. Meanwhile, Akio Kurosawa (Shunsuke Nakamura), who had a relationship with Takako, still has feelings for her. 

People gather at a split-level flat on a backstreet of Roppongi, Tokyo, men pay ¥20,000, women ¥1,000 and couples ¥5,000 apiece to spend the hours of midnight to 5 a.m. at a sex party. A moody Neet guy empties out his bank account for this night of pleasure, and a bespectacled college student who at first impresses as mousy and shy join the party. Presiding over this orgy are a jaded manager and bartender who explain and enforce three simple rules: Take showers prior to sex, use protection and respect the wishes of the women. Most dangerously, the Neet guy is falling quietly and hard for the student, who reveals herself as the horniest of all, while never quite breaking out of her shell.

In the fictional town of Mahoro on the outskirts of Tokyo is Tada Benriken, a small business which does odd jobs. Its owner is the solemn and level-headed Tada Keisuke (Eita), and his unexpected guest, the easygoing but vague Gyoten Haruhiko (Matsuda Ryuhei), a former junior high school classmate who showed up one day and started to sponge on him. The two of them get on like oil and water, and yet are somehow inseparable. They receive queer, dubious incoming odd job requests which they accept, and what comes into view are the friendship between them as well as the backgrounds of their clients.

In a residential area, a man is murdered by another man, who broke his apartment. Sergeant Kizaki, who is working near the area, hears a gunshot and runs towards the apartment. Detective Omura already is at the scene of the crime.

During their investigation,they get closer to finding out the identity of the killer. Soon, Sergeant Kizaki feels someone is behind the case. A girl then steps out from the shadows. Sergeant Kizaki feels she is linked to the murders somehow.

The drama focuses on 45-year-old Tsuboi Ryota, the coordinator of a large CM company who is receiving a request from one of their clients to change some parts of their new CM. However, he’s unable to really explain to the director what changes should be made exactly. At the same time, he receives a call from his older sister, who tells him that his father has collapsed while golfing in Nagano and that he was admitted to a local hospital. In a hurry, Ryouta decides to go to Nagano, his birthplace.

Tsuboi Ryota is a good man. Nobody can really hate him, which is why the coordinator between his company and their clients seems like the perfect job for him. However, he frequently finds himself stuck in a dilemma, whether that’s between his wife and his daughter, his older sister and their mother, or his family and work in general.

Adding some mysterious, almost fantastical elements to this family drama are Miyazaki as a puzzling young woman Ryota happens to meet at the hospital and Natsuyagi as his father who strongly believes in the existence of a tiny fairy-like race called the ‘Kuna’.

"Blazing Famiglia" centers around a family of former teenage gangsters.Tetsu Hino (Yoshimi Tokui) was once the leader of the most feared motorcycle gang in the Kanto area. Now, Tetsu Hino is middle-aged man who is looked down upon by his rebellious son Shuhei (Kento Hayashi). One day, Tetsu and his old biker gang gather together again after the daughter of a member is assaulted. Tetsu, worried about his day to day life, nevertheless regains the passion from his biker days. Tetsu then finds out that Ken Igarashi (Jun Murakami) is the man behind the attack. Ken Igarashi has had a grudge against Tetsu for a long time.

A college senior, Boku, takes a bicycle trip for his last summer vacation. On his trip, he comes across drive-in "HOUSE475" and its manager Seiji. The college senior then helps out at the store and becomes influenced by his experience at "HOUSE475".

The murder of Emili, a young girl, leaves the inhabitants of a small Japanese village in shock. The raped body of Emily is found by the four classmates with whom she was playing. The murder is never solved. Emili's mother Asako is torn by grief and puts a curse on the four girls when they claim that they don't remember the killer's face. Each of the girls, in their own way, will do their penance for their silence. Deeply struck by the words of Asako and burdened with her curse, the four girls are forced into adulthood which eventually triggers a tragic chain of events.

Toda and Miura play two teachers, Natsumi Uemura and Shuji Kashiwagi, at the same high school who are set to get married in half a year. However, the night before the school year's opening ceremony, Shuji becomes involved with the young Hikari Saeki (played by Takei), without realizing that she will be a student in his class starting the next day.

Kenta, a young pianist who has just lost his job, is drowning his woes at a bar when he meets a man in a Hawaiian shirt named Yamaki. He invites Kenta to work with him, and the next thing he knows, Kenta wakes up to find himself in a room he has never been in before. It is a strange room that seems to have no connection to life. He descends a staircase to find many shelves of books. Yamaki appears once again and tells him that this is Heaven's Book Service, and Kenta is going to start working a short-term, part-time job here. In addition to selling books, this bookstore, owned by Yamaki, provides a service of reading aloud to customers. Although he is unsure of his new surroundings, Kenta follows their actions and starts to work in his new part-time job.
