Himura Mayumi is 32 years old and single. She works in the public relations department for a large clothing company. Himura Mayumi experiences setbacks at her job and she now wants to get married to escape from work. Marriage isn't so easy for her now and she feels anxious. Himura Mayumi longs to experience ordinary happiness.

Jinno Yukari is a 34 year old housewife and her in-laws are a wealthy family. Her life seems comfortable, but she is always lonely. She doesn't have a child. Her husband treats her like a housemaid and she doesn't have anyone around that she can trust. Jinno Yukari also longs to experience ordinary happiness.

Kumazawa Riko is a 29 year old rookie detective who has recently begun to work in detective division. She longs to have ordinary happiness.

Hoshikamo yearned to become a private detective and he now works as a private detective. He is not good at communicating with women. Hoshikamo once worked at a big private detective agency, but he now he runs his own private detective office. His office is situated within his grandmother's recycle shop. Hoshikamo solves various cases with his assistant Tsugumi Karato. He first met Tsugumi Karato when she was his client. She hired him to help her with a stalker.

Shibusawa Eiichi was born in 1840 to a farmer’s family. He grew up helping his family with work, which was to manufacture and sell indigo production and also silk farming. He left his hometown at the age of 23 and began working for the government. He later traveled to Paris and learned about banking. Upon his return to Japan, he helped build up the first modern bank in Japan. He eventually became a founder or supporter to about 500 companies and was involved with about 600 public services, including education for women.

Amasawa Yoichiro was abandoned by his parents and has been wandering the world alone. Some trouble leads to his encounter with a shy university student Suzuki Nita who hopes to become an artist. A penniless and homeless Yoichiro makes Nita buy him curry on the grounds that he saved him, and mutters briefly about his family. Kiyokawa Kaoruko who runs Kiyokawa Realty has been keeping the ashes of Yoichiro’s late father because she used to be the caretaker of his apartment. There appears to be some significant reason why Yoichiro tries out curry every day.

Kato (Watanabe Daichi), a scriptwriter, is in love with Miho (Nao)—but he can never manage to muster up enough courage to make the relationship anything more than a platonic friendship. Seemingly oblivious to Kato's feelings for her, Miho is always calling him up and spilling her guts about her own love problems. She's in love with someone else, it turns out, but Kato swallows his pride—hearing about it all is almost too much to bear, but he wants to be with Miho as much as he can. In the meantime, the script he's working on for a TV drama mirrors a lot of his relationship with Miho. One day, Kato's friends tell him that his views on love are all mistaken, that he shouldn't delude himself into thinking that his dead-end crush on Miho will go anywhere. Emboldened and motivated, Kato finally decides to tell Miho exactly how he feels.

Kento enjoys cooking with canned foods and eating them at a camp-ground. Nanako likes cooking with natural ingredients she obtains herself from nature. The only thing in common between Kento and Nanako are that they eat and sleep alone at camp. Through the people they meet at camps, they both become fascinated with the world of food.

And so Mitazono takes Hikaru and the young housekeeper Onda Moe and act as a trio.

A story about a high school calligraphy club on the verge of breaking up that enters in a major competition while overcoming problems. Yuki, a promising female judoist, and Yukari, a quiet Canadian-raised boy who just returned to Japan, end up joining the club for the sake of maintaining the membership required to keep the club. Together with the old club members with unique characters, they gradually discover the fun of calligraphy and work together to win in the competition.
