Witnessing how everyone works hard to survive, Jia Yue also starts to plan his next step. However, his second brother Jia Yang passes away in an accident.

Days after, A Han’s affection for Birdy has been awakened, but much confused Birdy pushed him away by pretending falling in love with a girl. The misunderstanding separated them ever since until two decades later, the two men met again in a foreign city.

Siu Man is a nurse who has lost who she is as a person. Her marriage has ended partly due to her fear of intimacy and, having been abandoned by her husband, she now faces losing her father after he is hospitalized. Siu Man decides to reboot her life by taking over her father's restaurant but without the experience of being a chef, she has to hire someone. In steps Chia-hao, a Paris-trained cordon bleu chef, who is a free spirit but also treats cooking as a serious philosophy and is able to recreate her father's culinary style. It seems that the handsome chef cooks up a storm in and out of the kitchen as he helps Siu Man learn to deliver delicious food and his delicious looks arouse her desire. Through him, Siu Man faces her fear of intimacy head-on and liberates herself.

The failing universal healthcare system continues to put the lives of patients and doctors at risk. One victim resorted to blowing up the subway system to bring awareness to the issue. Dr. Xiao and others rushed to scene to treat the survivors. While the doctors tried to save lives, the hospital used the disaster as an opportunity to boost their rating during the annual medicare assessment.

The ugly Jin Da Hua has buck-teeth and a large mole on her face which causes her to be teased and ridiculed all her life. Sun Zhen is an author, whose life hasn't been going so smoothly. She has a younger brother Sun Ping that she has to take care of so although she dislikes the work by author X she still forged the identity of X. She later got unconsciously attracted by Xiao An, who works at the publication office. Sun Zhen has a boyfriend of 2 years Wei You Liang who is a news reporter. They were planning to get engaged and to him his girlfriend is his driving power in life. After Sun Zhen started to use X's identity their relationship went downhill. He didn't understand why Sun Zhen wanted to follow the shadows/footsteps of X but despite that he still couldn't let go of the relationship and start another.

But when Ai realizes Miao Miao is falling in love with Chen Fei, Ai discovers her feelings for Miao Miao may go deeper than she ever expected.

That summer, Miao Miao and Ai learned what it is to love. Their summer together perhaps did not last long. But life’s emotional journey is just beginning.
