Maurice and Ella are more in love than ever before, convinced that they are a god-arranged, predestined couple. YUE YUET tries to stop YUEN-SAU from committing adultery by playing tricks but this put her into an intricate polygonal relationship with SEUNG-LING and LAU-FEI accidentally. YUEN-SAU tries to fight back by getting help from the fortune-teller TUNG KAT-HOI (Wong Tak Bun). In Hong Kong, Ray's cousin introduces him to two friends (Andy Lau & Nat Chan), who end up cheating him and making off with all his money and belongings. The two swindlers then assume Ray's identity and travel to Macau to participate in the card competition on his behalf. (hkcinemagic.com) Not the best of the gambling genre, but hey... the "Wong Jing style" is there (I'm not sure there was anything resembling to a script though).

Fairy Baidong, who appears to be an old man but has only been training for 150 years (miniscule in fairy time), sees that the people of Earth are suffering because of intrusions from the world of Evil. He and a young assistant, Lu'Jan, set up a medical facility on earth to help the people, taking the name Budong (Baidong means All-Good). He also takes under his wing the impoverished scholar Shuangde, who lives in a temple where he trains two sisters, Qing'er (with whom he is in love) and Cai'er, in the ways of Good, for they are human girls raised by Evil spirits. Budong tells him not to associate with them because they are evil. In his zealous quest to do good, he is tricked by the Master of Darkness into freeing his spirit, though not his body, and that by holding the Master of Darkness's spirit, he can contain him. Thus, he claims righteousness as he kills Qing'er, Cai'er, the warrior Cuo of the jade sword, who was raised by an evil tree spirit who fled and has been a major fighter.

What complicates matters is that one of the kidnappers is operating within the police force, determined to stop Chan from succeeding. Yan Ting was framed for murdering her husband Yuen Man San in Taiwan and was jailed wrongly for five years. During those years she had no one by her side because she caused a huge misunderstanding with her family in Hong Kong; therefore her son was under the custody of Wun Suk Lan whom she considers as her best friend. Because of her good conduct while in prison, she was freed earlier and returns to Hong Kong. In Hong Kong, she meets a kind-hearted lawyer, Lo Lei Ho, and begins working in his law office. Besides finding her son€'s whereabouts, she is also trying to make up for what she has done to her family. On the other hand, she spots Man San in the busy streets of Hong Kong. At first she has doubts, but time after time makes her realize that perhaps Man San is still living. San, who is now married to Chiang Nga Yi, is trying to win the acceptance of her father. Surprisingly, Suk Lan returns to Hong Kong from America and also claims that she is San'€™s wife. Unexpected events after events reveal San's true identity to the other characters, and to prevent exposing his true identity, deaths are followed by deaths
