Xiang Weixin, a 17-year-old high school sophomore, regards eating as the most important and most healing thing in life. Based on a popular RPG of the same name. The story takes place in a fantasy medieval China that's full of kung fu action, CG special effects, and wacky humor. Li Xiao Yao, a "Stinky Punk", journeys to Dream Island to find a cure for his sick aunt. There he meets and marries the love of his life, Ling'er. On his way back home with the cure, he discovers that he's been tricked by the Lunar Sect Cult so that they can kidnap Ling'er. He awakens in his bed, having forgotten his entire trip to Dream Island, but having saved his aunt. He rescues Ling'er from the Lunar Sect Cult and is in turn rescued by a mysterious stranger who teaches him kung fu. Xiao Yao and Ling'er travel to the capital to meet her father. Along the way, they meet various people, get harassed by the Lunar Sect Cult, discover both of their histories, save the world and fall in love with each other all over again. It starts off sweet and lighthearted but ends with plenty of tears.

At the bustling "Ba Ba Ba Night Market," vendors deal with rivalries, unspoken romances and disputes over trivial matters, while working hard to sell their tasty delicacies. Things come to a screeching halt for the vendors when they learn of a real estate company (in cahoots with local politicians) are planning to takeover the land and deprive the vendors the opportunity to sell their food. Now that their very livelihoods are at stake can the vendors work together to fight off the developers?

Seven boys form a tight knit gang lead by Yen. They drink beer, smoke cigarettes and ride motorbikes: behaviour pretty much typical of teenagers. The movie is focused on exploring the nature of their friendships and how they change through time.

Although this is predominantly a film about male relationships, the role played by Xiao Yun (Yen's girlfriend) is interesting. Just as the boys struggle to come to terms with the world and their expectations, Xiao Yun struggles to break free from her relationship with Yen. Tang, Yen's best friend, fancies Xiao Yun but never has the courage to tell her. In the end Xiao Yun shows more courage than Tang in dealing with the relationship. The movie shows the difficulties both men and women face in their gender roles.

The series covers their opinions of adults, their love, friendship, youth, laugher and tears. From their experiences, they learn to cherish all people around them and to be responsible. All these students are in their 3rd year of high school. They form a 203 group and Ya Yu is their leader. You can call him the Westside ruler in short.
