This drama was filmed on location in the beautiful surroundings of the state of Oregon, US. It poignantly deals with the difficulties faced by Akira, a nine-year-old Japanese boy who is sent to live in America with his aunt and her family after his parents die in a traffic accident in Tokyo. Making the adjustment is not easy at first, but as the story unfolds, Akira courageously learns to face the challenges of his new life, strongly supported by the love of his new family and the kindness of their neighbors. The series is sure to warm the hearts of viewers of all ages.

Chiaki has now been promoted to the position of Deputy Director in the drama production arm of JMT. Her job now is to guide and coach the younger staff under her. She especially recognises the talents of scripwriter Mariko and the assistant producer Mitsui. On the other hand, back in Kamakura, Wahei is bearing the brunt of the failure in getting Kamakura to be officially recognised as a World Heritage site. He now has additional responsibilities of managing the secretarial department too. He is also being marked by the new mayor, Isayama Yoko, and is told to not cause any more trouble to the City Hall management.Shinpei has converted the ground floor of their home into a small cafe, and his relationship with Tomomi is going smoothly. While Wahei's other sister, Noriko, is suspecting her husband of having an affair, and she seeks advice from both Wahei and Chiaki. Wahei's daughter, Erina is now dating a man one year older than her, Harada Souta. Erina introduces Souta and his mother, Harada Kaoruko to Wahei.One day, Wahei is told to go to France with the city mayor, due to some news from Kamakura's sister city there. Coincidentally, Chiaki also has to go to Paris, as they are facing a problem with an ongoing drama, and she needs to clarify some details with the original writer who is living there.

Koizumi’s last lead role in a drama series was in 2001 in TBS’s “Koi wo Nannen Yasundemasu ka.” This time, she will play a 45-year-old single woman who works as a TV drama producer. Starting to feel anxious about her health and her future, she visits an old house in Kamakura where she intends to live with her friend when they reach old age.

Nakai plays a 50-year-old government worker at Kamakura’s city hall whose wife has passed away. With both of them at a crossroads in their lives, their fateful encounter leads to romance.

In timeline at least, this is a sequel to director Teshigahara's earlier film Rikyu, which can be found on Asia Torrents here: RIKYU It follows the lives of Princess Go and Lord Oribe Furuhata from just after Rikyu committed 'sepukku' when Hideyoshi Toyotomi was in power until just after Lord Oribe's death when Shogun Ieyasu Tokagawa was in power. Though the daughter of the Lord of the Maeda clan, Princess Goh was adopted at birth by Hideyoshi, the supreme ruler at the time, who until that point had been unable to sire any children. He brought her up almost as a son and spoiled her quite completely. She was very intelligent and became highly skilled in the martial arts. She was also very headstrong and the arrogance of her youth matured into an imperious self-confidence as she aged. Throughout her life she used the more assertive (and usually masculine) form of the first person pronoun (ware) rather than the more socially acceptable, less assertive form generally used by women (watashi). There was nothing reticent or weak about this woman. Her story shows us her youth and early friendship with Lord Oribe during Hideyoshi's reign and then her later life under a virtual house arrest at her family mansion in Kaga. It is her attempt to renew her friendship with Oribe by inviting him to a tea ceremony with Lords Ukon and Tadaoki that stirs up not totally unforseen troubles. Intertwined with her storyline is the life of Lord Oribe who inherits Rikyu's position as Tea Master to Hideyoshi, although that comes with a thinly vieled threat to do better or suffer a similar fate. The film opens with this scene between Hideyoshi and Oribe. It is filled with tension and threat. As an aside, there have been some criticisms of Teshigahara's direction as being stiff, especially in this sort of scene. I would suggest that they come from a complete misunderstanding of the cultural and social millieu where even a nobelman like Oribe had to be very careful of every word and gesture for fear of upsetting a man who could easily have him killed. There is a very clear stiffness and awkwardness underpinned with fear and warriness which I believe is completely intended by the director. Later in the film Oribe finds himself in a similar relationship with Ieyasu. In this case it has to do with Ieyashu's fear of a Christian rebellion and that fact that Oribe's sister had married Lord Ukon the most prominent daimyo to convert to Christianity. Also Oribe's close friend Lord Hosokawa Tadaoki had married a very prominent and influencial noblewoman who converted to Christianity and took the name Gracia. These relationships caused Ieyasu to suspect Oribe's loyalty.

The basis for the drama is the novel "Kashikogi" by author Cho Chang-in, which has sold 2 million copies in Korea since its publication in 2000. It has already been adapted as a television drama and a stage play in that country. On February 4, Shogakukan is publishing the book in Japan under the title "Good Life" Sorimachi plays the part of Daichi Sawamoto, a newspaper reporter who has always prioritized his work over his family. When his wife suddenly leaves him, he finally notices the love he has been receiving from his son. Just as he decides to answer back, it is discovered that his son has leukemia. Igawa plays Sawamoto's wife, Eikura plays a pediatrics specialist, and Ihara plays a doctor.
