Wada Masao who works at an electrical manufacturer on weekdays and plays the bass in a band on weekends; having been single for the past 3,000 days, Wada sets out to create delicious dishes for his non-existent girlfriend in his imaginary world so as to earn her praise.

Makoto Kashiba is an elite bank clerk and works for a big bank at its Tokyo HQ. Due to a minor mistake, he is demoted to a small branch office in a country town. He is devastated by his situation. There, he meets beautiful Yoshino Ikoma. She runs a goldfish scooping store. Makoto Kashiba falls in love with her at first sight.

"A world" - After graduating from a university, close friends Takashi Tsurug and Tomohiko Miwa begin work at a company which does brain research. One day, Tomohiko introduces Mayuko Tsuno as his girlfriend. Takashi is stunned. When he was a university student, Takashi saw Mayuko Tsuno every day on the train opposite from the one he rode. He became attracted to her back then.

"B world" - When Takashi Tsurug wakes up, his girlfriend Mayuko Tsuno makes breakfast as usual at his apartment. His friend Tomohiko Miwa introduced him to Mayuko and they have lived happily as a couple. Everything seems to be going smoothly, but Takashi begins to have doubts. Tomohiko, who worked with him at the same company, disappears and he can't discern if his memory is real or imaginary.

Based on the novel "Parallel World Love Story" by Keigo Higashino, this film tells about a love story between three people in two worlds.

The main character Himi Ko is a lawyer who is an expert in the field of crisis management. Her main area of activity is not in a courtroom but within the shadows of many of the big scandals. As a genius "spin doctor", she has managed to solve 99.9% of her client’s issues and requests. If need be, she would even manage to reverse falsehood into justice. And most of all, she has a strong belief in supporting women, especially those who are stuck in a crisis and will go all the way to solve some of the most tricky cases. This is a drama which depicts such a determined character who takes whatever step she needs to help people who are at the edge of their lives!

29-year-old Kuroki Sayaka is a writer working for a magazine at a publishing company. She's engaged to her long-term boyfriend and will have her wedding in three months, so resigns from her job. But that night, she discovers that her fiance Kazuya, who was her first love from high school, has actually been cheating on her. When she confronts him, he breaks off the engagement saying he felt pressured by her to get married.

Broke from all the wedding expenses, Sayaka tries to return to her old job only to find out she's already been replaced. Her boss feels bad for her, though, so he finds a way for her to get reinstated in the company with a much higher caliber fashion magazine. However, there's a catch: according to her eccentric new boss Usami, Sayaka must meet his strange conditions. She must find a better man to marry within six months, and as embarrassed as she is, she must write an ongoing column about her experience, from broken engagement to wedding. But first, Sayaka has to figure out why she doesn't value herself enough to believe it's possible.

It is Tokyo in 1935. 10-year-old Yanagi Etsuko is a young girl who loves songs. Her father Kantaro, a struggling lyricist, still cannot forget her late mother and wastes his life away. Seeing her father like this, Etsuko begins a search for Kantaro’s second bride and the new partner who will be her mother. Her first target is her teacher Muraoka Masako whom she eggs on to land a date with her father. However, it does not go very well. The next person who catches her attention is a salesgirl Ikebe Kyoko whom she met at a department store. Etsuko is drawn to Kyoko’s simplicity and gradually begins to love her as if she were her own mother. However, at that moment, Kantaro’s elder sister Tsuruyo pursues the subject of an arranged introduction with Kusakabe Kaoru, the incredibly beautiful daughter of a bank owner who is a shareholder in her husband’s company.

In 1865, Hanpeita Takechi (Ryo Nishikido) belongs to political activist group Shishi. He is then imprisoned and ordered to kill himself for disrespecting the Lord. When Hanpeita Takechi is about to carry out the suicide, he suddenly finds himself asleep in the middle of a country road. He is now in present day Japan, but he has no idea how he got here.

Hanpeita Takechi wants to go back, but he is stuck in the remote rural area. Meanwhile, villagers are embarrassed by Hanpeita’s appearance. Haruka Saeki (Manami Higa) works at a public office there and she hears about Hanpeita Takechi. Haruka Saeki finds him at the supermarket.

Yoshinari Chinami, who has been selling buttons and fabric at a clothing material store in an old neighbourhood of Tokyo, unexpectedly finds herself working at the editorial division of a fashion magazine and is thrilled. The fashion industry is a dazzling world which she has never seen before. But what opens up to her is a terrifying den of demons where females prey on each other day after day … … From the low-level person who has to do odd jobs for a lifetime to the uppermost level which manipulates magazines and advertisements at will, it is an industry of dramatic disparities. It is also a ridiculous female world where women assign ratings and rankings change everyday. The only way to survive in this harsh place is to be “first class”. Chinami’s only friend is the assistant photographer Nishihara Itsuki. Will she be able to to find happiness in this fashion hell?

Yukari Hayasaka is a high school student who has become tired of her life of constant schooling. She then comes across a group of student fashion designers in need of a model for their "Paradise Kiss" clothing label. Yukari knows nothing about the fashion world and is taken back by the group's eccentric ways, but she soon comes to admire their free thinking ways and ability to pursue their dreams with a one track mind.
