Go Joo Yeon is a self-centered star actress who has always gotten what she wants: fame, money, and even good-looking young boyfriends. However, now in her 40s and with her acting career going downhill, she wonders whether she should settle down with her secret boyfriend, who is 12 years younger than her. However, the boyfriend, a rookie actor, is only interested in taking advantage of her fame, cheating on her behind her back. Discovering the truth, Joo Yeon is devastated that she has no one who she can truly rely on. So she decides to have someone definite in her life, her own baby.

She goes to see an obstetrician only to learn that she has reached menopause. While facing the depressing truth, she comes across a pregnant teenager Kim Dan Ji at the hospital. Joo Yeon makes the offer to Dan Ji that she will adopt the baby at whatever price, and will support her until she delivers. Dan Ji, who needs the money, accepts the offer and agrees to stay hidden at Joo Yeon’s home. When Joo Yeon makes a press announcement of her pregnancy, in vengeance against her ex-boyfriend, who has become a rising star, rumors start to spread about who the father is. She declares that she will be a single mom and her dignified demeanor earns her numerous jobs making her more successful than ever. Dazzled by the new phase in her career, Joo Yeon begins to neglect Dan Ji, but worse, people are now getting suspicious.

This family-oriented show revolves around three different families clashing through a lot of misunderstandings as they become in-laws with each other: a popular female host on a shopping channel and her three daughters who are a college professor, high-powered consultant, and doctor, a divorced spouse who loves to regale stories about his time in the Marines, he has dried skin from doing the dishes every day; and a daughter from a rich family that that runs a successful fashion designer company. Their problems clear up slowly through love and understanding that result in a healing process.

Wang So, a Goryeo prince, was born with the name, “Shine.” Shin Yul is a woman hailing from the Balhae kingdom and believed to have the powers of an oracle. A prince who suffered vile remarks because of a cursed prophecy finds himself attracted to a former princess from a fallen kingdom who faces death because of her fate to become the light of another kingdom. Hong Man Sub is a 24-year-old college student majoring in food and nutrition. He has never dated and is not popular with girls. Nevertheless, he falls in love with An Na at first sight. An Na is the most popular girl at the school and unexpectedly takes an interest in Hong Man Sub because is different from the other students.

Hong Man Sub then plays a game of jokgu (a game that shares elements of soccer and volleyball) with Kang Min. Kang Min has taken an interest in An Na and he is also a former Korean National Soccer player. Hong Man Sub wins the game and becomes a hero with the other students. The students also become crazy about the game of jokgu. The university then decides to hold a jokgu competition. Hong Man Sub will face Kang Min once again.

The night watchmen of Joseon patrol the darkest hours of the day to protect the people from the evilest of all enemies. Ghosts, monsters, and supernatural forces abound and those who can see them, fight them. Lee Rin (Jung Il Woo) is the heir to the throne but chooses to lives his life as a watchman, as his father had once before him, rather than live in the palace. But when he sees the plight of his citizens under the rule of his tyrannical father, he learns that his gift can also be a curse if he lets the evil spirits take over him, and battles his way to becoming the rightful ruler of Joseon.

Shin Joo Yeon is a 33-year-old fashion marketing director at a home shopping channel company. She's developed a tough prickly outer shell in order to succeed in the workplace, and has almost given up on the idea of true love after countless failures in the relationship department. Joo Wan is a 26-year-old songwriter and carefree spirit who returns to Korea after seventeen years living abroad. Up until the age of 9, he was practically raised by his mom's friend and her daughter, Shin Joo Yeon. She only remembers him as a kid she was forced to play with him when her mom was busy, while all his early memories from bath time, to play time, to learning how to tie his shoe, include her. Upon meeting again, he aims to heal Joo Yeon's jaded sense of romance.
