Tanaka Tamako had been working for a male-dominated restaurant business but was betrayed by her boyfriend who was hired as the chef. In addition, she is taken to the police as a result of an incident she caused because her friend Fujimura Satsuki was subjected to sexual harassment. Tamako resigns from her unreasonable company and starts a bistro selling homemade pot-au-feu on a rooftop in an alley in Jingumae, Tokyo. This is the story of females who are labelled “write-offs” and the restaurant they have established in order for them to get out from life’s abyss. They battle difficulties and search for ways to change their lives as they experience the joys of work. This is a problem restaurant because they are all females with problems, but it is certainly not lousy. The women who have a common enemy – men, and the restaurant unites them in a fight to the death.

Set in 2008, Kurenai Wataru is a young man who is destined from birth to become Kamen Rider Kiva, and to fight rampant race of monsters known as Fangires, which sustain themselves by draining human life. Though fighting on the side of humanity, Kiva is targeted by an organization which seeks to protect the human race from other races, thus seeing Kiva as a threat. They have a soldier on their side, Kamen Rider IXA, who possesses abilities matching those of Kiva's. As the story progresses, he will come across another Rider, Kamen Rider Saga, who is connected to him in ways he had never imagined. Simultaneously, the story of Wataru's father, Kurenai Otoya, is told. With the time set in 1986, 22 years ago, Otoya's story will reveal the origin of Kiva, and how Wataru's destiny came to be.

It was her father's Ando Kippei, greatest wish that his daughter gets a higher education. The Missionary school was attended by daughters from noble families, and as a charity case, Hanako was reminded by her father to never be inferior to her rich schoolmates. As the classes were carried out in English, Hanako faced a culture shock when she started school. Unable to understand the teachers nor able to grasp the conversation of her peers, Hanako resolved to work really hard at her studies.This drama follows Hanako from her childhood, through her years at the missionary school, to her life as a school teacher and finally as the translator of L.M. Montgomery's "Anne of Green Gables".
