Kujo Rina is a chemistry teacher and the homeroom teacher for the 3rd grade D class at Horai High School. She doesn't have a bond with her students. On the school's graduation day, Kujo Rina is pushed from the 4th floor and falls down. She is able to glimpse a school uniform sleeve on the person that pushed her. At that time, she wonders why she was pushed and that she does not want to die.

The next moment, Kujo Rina is standing in front of her students, and she has travelled back in time to one year earlier. She knows that one of the 30 students in front of her will try to kill her in a year. To find the truth about what will happen and to avoid her death, she approaches her students with all her heart. Meanwhile, Ugumori Kanau is one of Kujo Rina’s students in the 3rd grade D class. She is a model student, but she experiences a miserable school life due to her classmates targeting her.

Koshobu Tsutomu is smart enough to have passed his bar exam at the age of 20. He also graduated at the top of the law department at Tokyo University. He had his choice of prestigious job opportunities, but he chose to work at the Fair Trade Commission. The commission is commonly called the Guardian of the Market. There, Koshobu Tsutomu works for the 6th examination team. One day, Shirokuma Kaede joins the 6th examination team. Shirokuma Kaede is a detective. While chasing a criminal, she failed to catch the criminal that was right in front of her eyes. She was then ordered to transfer to the Fair Trade Commission. Even though Koshobu Tsutomu and Shirokuma Kaede have totally different personalities, they team up to tackle difficult cases.

They then attempt to return the great egg of the water spirit, which is in Prince Chagumu's possession to its source in the sea. Along the way, they are hunted by hired assassins.

However, his plan to live the quiet life is interrupted when he learns that the Tendo clan has taken over the village and is constantly harassing locals. Soon, a group of farmers come to Ichi and beg him to help his own village like he’s helped countless other villages in travels.

Because of his hot temper, he loses his head on this occasion and is fired from his part-time job. Then one day, the glamorous owner, Ms Nakahara proposes, "I'll give you free board-and-lodging if you can turn my niece, Sunako, into a lady!" Kyohei and Toyama Yukinojo, Oda Takenaga and Morii Ranmaru, the other guys living together in the same boarding house, are enthusiastic, but the person who appears before the four of them is a spooky girl whose hair covers her face and who loves horror and vampires. And so, their tumultuous communal life begins.
