Yeon Heung Bu is an author of popular novels. He writes a novel to find his lost older brother. Heung Bu then meets Jo Hyuk. Jo Hyuk is a nobleman and takes care of people. Heung Bu finds enlightenment from Jo Hyuk. Meanwhile, Jo Hyuk’s older brother is Jo Hang Ri. He is completely different from Jo Hyuk. He will do anything to gain more power. Heung Bu decides to write a story about the brothers Jo Hyuk and Jo Hang Ri.

Heung Bu completes the novel “Heungbu and Nolbu” and the novel is a success. It's popularity soon spreads all across Joseon. Jo Hang Ri takes advantage of the situation and plots to gain absolute power in Joseon.

Set in the near future, a military coup takes place in North Korea. The leader of North Korea and Eom Chul Woo escape to South Korea. The two countries now face a crisis. Chul Woo and South Korean government official Kwak Chul Woo carry out a secret operation to prevent a Korean war.

With an underlying theme of hope in a stressful, disconnected world, this drama centers around filial piety, family bonds and people of good character. This drama reveals the true meaning of marriage and love by depicting the current dating scene and social attitudes while contrasting the personalities amongst young people looking for a husband based on the man's social and wealth status instead of true love. There are good times and also bad times in life, but by having your loved ones by your side will make every day feel like a pleasant springtime.

Residents, who are evicted from their homes in a designated urban renewal, demonstrate against their removal. The police arrive and attempt to end the demonstration. A 20-year-old police officer and a 16-year-old boy, who is the son of a demonstrator, die during the melee. The boy's father is also arrested. Later, the father insists that he tried to protect his son from being beaten by the riot police. The deaths of these two people are then brought to court.

Eun Suh's life took a complete turn when the 2 girls were returned to their respective families. Soon after, the Yoon family left for the States and Eun Suh was left living in sordid condition with her real family in Korea. Years after, Joon Suh returned to Korea and by chance the two former siblings were reunited.
