This drama is a love story between an 19-year-old man and 31-year-old woman, born in the same year and were childhood friends.

Although born in the same year, two childhood friends end up being 12 years apart because they have aged at different places (worlds) for some strange reason. Now Jung Jung Won (Lee Yun Hee) is a 31-year-old woman but Sung Hae Sung (Yeo Jin Goo) is still a 19-year-old boy. Meanwhile, Cha Min Joon (Ahn Jae Hyun) is a chef also interested in Jung Jung Won.

After being left for dead and witnessing the death of his father, Han Yi Soo / Yoshimura Junichiro returns to Korea from Japan after changing his looks and identity to take revenge on the people who caused his family’s downfall. While using Jo Hae Woo, the granddaughter of the main mastermind who was his first love when they were young, he finds himself falling in love with her again. Meanwhile, Oh Joon Young is the man that Hae Woo got married to while thinking that Yi Soo had died becomes suspicious of his real identity and motives. Lee Song Hi was raised by her father, who is a violinist. After her father's death, she falls in love with her elementary school friend Su An. After 12 years, Song Hi, who is a teacher at kindergarten, meets Su An again. The love of Song Hi was not changed, but Su An became a different person. After the statute of limitation expires on the murders he has committed, Lee Du-seok publishes an autobiography describing all his murders in great detail. Detective Choi, who investigated Lee's murders 15 years ago starts the chase once again and Han Ji-soo, who lost her daughter to Lee, pledges vengeance. Meanwhile, another killer appears, casting doubt to whether Lee is the real serial killer.
