    Jung Yup tries to find a job as a lawyer for a law firm in Seoul. It's not so easy for him, with Jung Yup being from a smaller city. In the meantime, he begins work at a child welfare center in his hometown. He goes with a co-worker from the child welfare center to the police station and meets 10-year-old Da Bin. The young girl reported to the police that her stepmother Ji Sook choked her around her neck, but there isn't anything Jung Yup is able to do. Da Bin is returned to her family. Da Bin and her 7-year-old brother Min Joon begin visiting Jung Yup at the child welfare center daily. He makes an effort to spend time with them to keep his job. Jung Yup is aware that the children are abused by their stepmother, but he is powerless to do anything about it.

    Jung Yup then learns that he has been hired by a law firm in Seoul. Without saying goodbye to Da Bin and Ji Sook, he heads off to Seoul. One day, he receives a phone call that Da Bin has killed her younger brother Min Joon.

    This is a story of a family on a farm named Ojakgyo. The family consist of a grandmother, parents, and four brothers. Hwang Chang Shik is the father of the family and he runs the Ojakgyo farm. The grandmother and mother are loving people. Eldest son Tae Shik works as a physical therapist. He is almost 40-years-old, but still single. Tae Shik looks for the perfect woman to fall in love with at first sight. The second son is Tae Bum who works as a reporter for a broadcasting company. The third son is Tae Hee who works as a detective. Tae Hee is a tough guy, but soft around his grandmother and mother. The youngest son is Tae Pil who doesn't work.

    One day, the family's peaceful and happy lives are shaken by Baek In Ho. Approximately 10 years ago, Hwang Chang Shik rented the Ojakgyo farm from Baek In Ho and in return placed his name on the property deed (so Baek In Ho could avoid paying taxes on the property). The other family members did not know about the deal and thought the farm belonged to them.

    Baek In Ho has a wife, Jung Yoon Sook, and a daughter Ja Eun. Ja Eun is beautiful, but self-centered. Ja Eun's mother is actually her step-mother. When J Eun's father is around, Yoon Sook acts like a loving mother to Ja Eun, but when he's not around Yoon Sook doesn't treat Ja Eun well. Jae Eun hides this from her father. Baek In Ho's runs a company, but the company faces bankruptcy. Now, Baek In Ho wants his farm back. He gives the family renting the farm a one month notice to vacate the property ....

    Aeja was once a promising student. Not only did she do well in school, she also loved to write poetry on rainy days & also possessed excellent fighting skills. Her dream was to become a novelist and a few years later she moved to Seoul to fulfill those dreams.
