Oda Teruasa, a gifted high school senior who is the heir of Japan's wealthy trading company Oda Group, lost everything 13 years ago when his father was murdered by a mysterious organization. The culprit was, in fact, after a weathered key which was in Seiji's possession.

Whoever acquires this key will allegedly see their fortune rise with the number of keys they collect, and with 99 keys, one can gain control over everything in this world. Entrusted with this key by his father just before the fatal incident, Teruasa managed to escape overseas, and since then, he has traveled the world, accumulating knowledge and experiences.

Returning to Japan after 13 years to avenge his father, Teruasa finds himself entangled in the "Akuma Game", a life-threatening battle of wits against rivals aiming for the demonic key.

Due to that, he failed his job interview with "Dragon Bank" and set a new goal of earning 1 trillion dollars with Haru.

Yuri Rintaro used to work as the chief of the First Investigation Division in Tokyo. Due to a case, he resigned from the police force and moved back to his hometown of Kyoto. Now, he works as a forensic psychologist in Kyoto. After receiving requests from the police, he helps them with their investigations. His investigation method involves careful observance of the crime scenes and he uses trace techniques learned from a hunter. He met that hunter in the Rocky Mountains, USA, during his school days. His assistant in Kyoto is Mitsugi Shunsuke. During this time Kenshin Himura comes across and aides Kaoru Kamiya (Emi Takei). Her father opened the Kamiya Kasshin-ryu, a kendo school located in Tokyo and Kaoru is now an instructor there. Kaoru then invites Kenshin to stay at her dojo. Their relationship develops further, but Kenshin is still haunted by his violent past ...
