Asian Drama

The film is a tough-guy drama focusing on the drug trade. It tells the story of Xiao Jianfeng, who was framed and detained overseas for 25 years. After he was released from prison, he was entrusted by a mysterious person and needed to follow the instructions to know the whereabouts of his wife and daughter. In addition, Xiao Jianfeng's engineer brother accidentally discovered a complex drug dealing network, but was assassinated.

The year was 1930, when Shanghai is known as the Paris of the East with a thriving economy. However, behind the glamorous songs and dances, cruelty and terror gets out of control. From the Marco Polo Bridge incident to the Battle of Shanghai, the Chinese Army fought bravely against the Imperial Japanese Army. In the city, the Japanese army destroys many media outlets among Chinese troops, even private radio stations from Britain and France must register to operate. The person in charge of such operations is a Japanese agent Zhang Lanxin who proudly proclaims that under the Shanghai sky, only Japan-approved stations can survive. Then one day, Li Xia accepts the mission to rebuild a new means of communication for his compatriots.

In December 1941, Japan expands the occupation of its neighboring countries to Southeast Asia. The railway from Tianjin to Nanjing in East China became a key military transportation route, heavily guarded by Japanese soldiers. Railroad worker Ma Yuan leads a team of freedom fighters. Using his deep knowledge of the train network, he and his men sabotage it, ambushing Japanese soldiers and stealing supplies to feed the starving Chinese. Although the freedom fighters have no weapons of their own, they employ whatever tools are at hand, including shovels, loose railway track planks and diverted trains. The local Chinese call the unlikely heroes the “Railroad Tigers”.

Finding himself at a murder scene, bike courier Li Ziwei tries to escape, but the culprits force him off a bridge. The amnesia from his head injuries means he can't recognize the faces of his enemies, who have framed him for the crime. Now, carrying the parcel that's his only clue, and with the help of sassy hitchhiker Tong Xin, Li Ziwei must outrun killers and cops while racing to clear his name of the mysterious murder.
