He sees something unusual and first believes it is a landmine. It turns out it is actually an AI satellite robot which saves every conversation made on a phone. Hae-Gwan thinks he can find his daughter with the help of the robot. He names the robot Sori ("Voice").

Chae Sun then disguises herself as a man and enters the Dongrijungsa to learn pansori, but Shin Jae Hyo doesn’t accept her as his student. One day, he hears Daewongun, the most powerful man in Joseon and the father of the King, is going to hold a national competition of pansori performers known as “Naksungyeon.” Shin Jae Hyo decides to teach Chae Sun who has a true voice to perform “Chunhyangga.” If anyone finds out that Chae Sun is a woman, Shin Jae Hyo and Chae Sun will both face death.

Heo Moo Hyeok, a reporter from the social issues department happens to acquire information about a serial murder case by accident. This makes him get involved in an unprecedented case of inaccurate reporting. He later finds himself facing the actual murder case in the middle of the aggressive news coverage competition by media, which does not get any better.

After an international auto theft sting, a dimwitted detective Do Chul is treated at a nightclub where he meets Tae Oh, the tyrannical heir to an untouchable mega-corporation, whose rude behavior rubs Do Chul the wrong way.

The other crew members including Dong Shik and Chang Wook are freaked out about the captain's plan, but they agree to go along with it.

During a stormy night, the fishing vessel Jeonjiho stops in the middle of ocean and allows another boat to transfer its stowaways onto their ship. A young woman, Hong Mae, falls into the ocean, but Dong Shik jumps into the water to save her. Their nightmare journey begins.

To Gap Soo’s surprise, Jeong Jo asks Gap Soo when he had given up being an assassin, then orders him to just leave the palace. However, Gap Soo finds out that there is another assassin besides him and frantically returns to the court, only to discover Eul Soo in combat with Jeong Jo.

Nearby police stations located in the Seoul districts of Mapo and Seodaemun are usually compared to each other and, consequently, has developed a rivalry. The chief at the Mapo police station is Hwang Jae Sung, who is fearless when it comes to catching criminals and uses any means necessary. To top the Mapo station, the Seodaemun police station appoints its new leader Jung Ui Chan, who graduated from the prestigious police academy. An award for "officer of the year" is given out to the officer able to apprehend the most criminals. The award also comes with a 30 million Won cash prize.

Hwang Jae Sung wants to receive the award as he wants a promotion and did not graduate from the police university. Jung Ui Chan also badly wants to win the award for the prize money involved - his girlfriend is pregnant. For this award, the two rivals compete even more fiercely. A serial rapist case then occurs, causing both stations to work together. The outcome hangs in the air.

After aimlessly hopping crime scenes for five years, detective Kang Cheol Jung hands in his resignation in the face of major financial burdens. His chief, however, asks him to stay on until a high school murder case is closed. At first, it looks hopeless, but then Kang finds a fingerprint lead, and later learns that three of the dead student's friends are employed by a single company. He begins to investigate the group and its leader, Lee Won Sul.

In 1986, in the province of Gyunggi, in South Korea, a second young and beautiful woman is found dead, raped and tied and gagged with her underwear. Detective Park Doo Man and Detective Cho Yong Koo, two brutal and stupid local detectives without any technique, investigate the murder using brutality and torturing the suspects, without any practical result. Then Detective Seo Tae Yoon from Seoul comes to the country to help the investigations and is convinced that a serial killer is killing the women. When a third woman is found dead in the same "modus-operandi", the detectives find leads of the assassin.

Waikiki Brothers is a band going nowhere. After another depressing gig, the saxophonist quits, leaving the three remaining members - lead singer and guitarist Sung Woo, keyboardist Jung Suk, and drummer Kang Soo, to continue on the road. The band ends up at Sung Woo's hometown, Suanbo, which was a popular hot spring resort in the '80s. The main resort now is the Waikiki Hotel, and their gig at the hotel nightclub starts well, until Jung Suk and Kang Soo start to play out their worst vices.
