When high school student Kim Eun Mi discovered that she was pregnant, her entire life changed in an instant. Determined to keep her baby, Eun Mi did just that. Raising her daughter, Jin Hee, on her own, the two have quite literally grown up together.

Now in her forties, Eun Mi works as a physical therapist while twenty-nine-year-old Jin Hee works as an officer at the Namchon Police Substation. Despite being an adult herself, Jin Hee still lives with her mother; a fact which leads to an endless stream of bickering between the two. Though both mother and daughter will agree that they love each other dearly, the two just can’t seem to find a way to get along these days.

As if struggling to find a way to deal with her daughter wasn’t enough, Eun Mi’s life takes a complicated turn when Dr. Park Jin Hong suddenly appears before her. While Eun Mi tries to make sense of the mysterious Dr. Park, Jin Hee struggles to find a way to get along with her works new director, Eun Jae Won.

Ku San Young is busy working part-time during the day and studying to become a low-ranking public officer at night. One day, she receives some articles left behind by her late father. Since then, mysterious deaths take place around her. She also finds herself slowly changing.

Yeom Hae Sang comes from a rich background. He teaches Korean folklore at a university. Since he was a child, he has had the special ability to see demons in this world. He even saw his mother killed by a demon in front of him when he was young. Yeom Hae Sang meets Ku San Young and he faces the demon which killed his mother.

Lee Hong Sae is a lieutenant in the violent crimes investigation team. He only cares about advancing his career in the police department. Due to Ku San Young and Yeom Hae Sang, he gets involved in mysterious cases.

A love story set in the seaside village of Gongjin.

Yoon Hye Jin, who works as a dentist, is a woman who has both beauty and brains. However, her life plan falls apart because of the tiny bit of righteousness in her heart, and after various obstacles, she moves to the seashore village Gongjin and meets Hong Doo Shik. She becomes curious about him. Hong Doo Shik is called Chief Hong by the local residents. An anonymous donor leaves a donation box in a town every December for seventeen years. A self-claimed reporter, Ji Hoon, comes to find and interview the generous donor. The reporter turns out to be a crook.

It's the story of South Korea’s first trial by jury in 2008. It follows the case of a son brutally murdering his mother, with all factors seeming to point to a guilty ruling. However, the trial does not go as smoothly as expected. The eighth juror, young entrepreneur Kwon Nam Woo questions the defendant’s self-declaration of guilt. As a result, the judge calls for a new debate to establish a guilty or not guilty verdict.

Kim Joon Gyum is the presiding judge who leads the first civil participation of a criminal trial in South Korea.

Kwon Nam Woo stands in sharp contrast to this, sifting through investigation records and backing up his doubts on the case with determination. He repeatedly questions the defendant’s self-declaration of guilt and reminds judge Kim Joon Gyum of the importance of justice. Bit by bit, he breaks down the majority opinion by pushing for a not guilty verdict.

The jurors are ordinary people, but, after they become jurors, they seek out the truth of the case.

Kim Do-Ran has a bright and positive personality, even though she is in a financially difficult situation. She studies for an exam to become a public officer. One day, her biological father Kang Soo-Il appears in front of of her. She hasn't seen him in 28 years. Kim Do-Ran's life soon becomes twisted.

Jin Jung Suk (Ha Suk Jin) is a good looking and professional star lecturer. Meanwhile, Park Ha Na (Park Ha Sun) is a rookie lecturer who struggles to survive in the private institute world.

Goo Joo believes Yoo Jin has star potential and helps produce new idol band "Mr. Children" featuring Yoo Jin on lead vocals. In the royal palace of King Jung-Jo, court nurse Chun-Ryung (Park Jin-Hee) is called into the quarters of the royal concubine Hee-Bin (Yoon Se-Ah). Meanwhile, court nurse Chun-Ryung conducts an autopsy on Wol-Ryung. She discovers a startling secret. Wol-Ryung recently gave birth to a child, even though maids are sworn to keep their chastity for the King. Court nurse Chun-Ryung is now almost certain that someone murdered Wol-Ryung and begins her own secret investigation.

Dongmakgol is a village in a remote mountain, isolated from the rest of the world and untouched by the ravages of the ongoing war in Korea. Fate brings the three fighting forces together: a U.S. fighter pilot whose plane crash-landed in the mountain, three retreating North Korean soldiers, and two South Korean soldiers who are lost.

After a grenade destroys the food storage, they decide to stay and help the local farmers. In the process, they slowly let go of their hatred for one another and build a sense of friendship. Meanwhile, the U.S. commanders believe there is a major North Korean military presence in the area where the plane went missing and plan a major air strike. In order to spare the village from complete destruction, the soldiers decide to work together to divert the attack, possibly sacrificing themselves in the process.
