Set in a fictional city, a story about solving crime through forensic science leads to a serial murder case from 20 years ago.

While assisting the police in their investigation and trying to reverse the case involving her father, female forensic doctor Song An Yan joins hands with hot-blooded detective Liu Zhi Ming in their desperate search for the truth. Along the way, they cross paths with the mysterious Lin Xiao Mei.

This is a prequel to Psycho Detective so it is set in the 1980’s. It follows Pang Pak-chuen (Adam Cheng), a Taoist master and an university professor of philosophy who accepts three young men Cheung Hon-chung (Bryant Mak), Tsui Pak-keung (Brian Chan), and Szema Chi-chuen (Neo Yau) as his disciples. The four become famous ghost-busting fighters, and soon get recruited by the secret police unit “Seventh Assault Team” to solve a serious of supernatural cases. After the death of her husband, Chu Pik Ha returns to her maiden home with her son, in a deliberate attempt to take over the family jewelry business from her elder sister Chu Pik Wan. To prevent Ha from getting too out of hand, Wan needs her husband Ho Cheung Hing to create trouble for her sibling. Hing does not follow her instructions, but instead secretly helps Ha tackle her problems one by one. Wan soon comes to realize that Hing has never really got over Ha. Wan's younger sister Chu Pik Lam is still attending school and is too young to deal with such family issues. Wan feels a profound sense of helplessness and becomes even more frustrated when So Lai Sheung turns up suddenly claiming to be a mistress of her late father and pregnant with his baby. Out of respect for their father, the sisters agree to put Sheung up for the time being until the situation becomes clearer. Shortly thereafter, Ha discovers that Sheung is just a tool of Sang guy who has been plotting to wage a battle of will against the Chu's.

This drama is loosely based on the life of Hong Kong entertainment mogul, Sir Run Run Shaw, founder of film company Shaw Brothers Studio and television company TVB.

The series follows Man Ming and Woh Kaau Chi who grew up together since babies. Once all grown up, Man Ming and Kaau Chi were curious about the martial arts world, so they venture out into jianghu.
