Hairdresser Eri and accountant Hiroyuki are a remarried couple in their 40s. The two of them go on trips, enjoy meals, and enjoy an elegant life. The only things Eri is worried about are the slight deterioration of her appearance, the recent sexlessness, and the fact that she has given up having children. Eri has no complaints about her marriage, but she should have. However, a mysterious woman appears in front of Hiroyuki, and the couple encounters a mysterious and unbelievable event.

Seiya, Rin, Reira, Takashi, and Nakayama, who attend the same high school, are childhood friends. Rin is so close that she go to karaoke after school and spend time hanging out all the time, but lately, she's a little awkward because conscious of the opposite sex and appearance. The only difference is that most of the adults around them live in a country with the same face. All the adults walking in the city have the same face of a man and a woman - five people in love in such a world.

One day, Rin and Eri meet at a movie theater.

The story describes how Kaidou Azusa, a practising lawyer and a special appointment associate professor doing research on the brain's memories, is engaged to defend a woman Fuyukawa Sayaka accused of killing her sculptor husband and found to have two ex-fiances who also died mysteriously.

Shibusawa Eiichi was born in 1840 to a farmer’s family. He grew up helping his family with work, which was to manufacture and sell indigo production and also silk farming. He left his hometown at the age of 23 and began working for the government. He later traveled to Paris and learned about banking. Upon his return to Japan, he helped build up the first modern bank in Japan. He eventually became a founder or supporter to about 500 companies and was involved with about 600 public services, including education for women.

Amamiya, Nakauchi, and Kobayashi were once high school classmates. The former was class president and an honors student, Nakauchi was quiet and reserved with a penchant for cooking, and Kobayashi was a womanizing charmer. Ten years after their graduation, fate reunites them. Nakauchi has gone on to become a budding chef, but he had to quit his job after losing his sense of taste. He runs into Amamiya, works as a bartender in a quiet establishment called the Three Star Bar in Tokyo’s Nishi Ogikubo District.

Kobayashi who became an overnight sensation as a writer with his debut novel, but has been in a slump ever since, was bequeathed the bar from his grandfather, the previous owner, with the agreement that he would keep the place running until he and Amamiya finished all of the canned food that was left stocked in the pantry. Kobayashi and Amamiya convince Nakauchi to join them as their canned food “chef.”

The trio is a great success: Amamiya is always ready to lift the mood with a cocktail, the barfly-like Kobayashi is always on hand with sage words of advice, and Nakauchi cooks up a storm in the kitchen. The place becomes a hit with appreciative customers who come with problems, but usually leave with them solved, thanks to these remarkable men. But what will happen when the canned food begins to run out?

Mitsuomi Kozuka quits his job in Tokyo and decides to return to his hometown in the country for the first time in 10 years. His relationship with his Father was strained after he moved to Tokyo and didn't want to take over the family business. There, Mitsuomi Kozuka meets Yamato Kumai. Yamato Kumai is the adopted son of old man Kumai, who took him in after his parents abandoned him in a park when he was a baby. The old man runs a farm near the home of Mitsuomi Kozuka's parents. Yamato talks Mitsuomi into helping out on the farm and that's when their relationship grows and begins to change them both.

Oshii Takashi is a detective with excellent reasoning power. Unfortunately, he usually misses the criminal in front of him and other detectives get recognition for the capture. He is transferred to the Utobashi Police Station.

Oshii Takashi goes to a record company CEO's house. The CEO's third son was burned to death. The police are set to conclude that his death was an accident, but Oshii Takashi thinks otherwise. Oshii Takashi begins to investigate.

This is a love story between Akira Kuroiwa, a 15-year-old boy who knows nothing of love, and Hijiri Suenaga, his new 25-year-old homeroom teacher. One fated summer, Akira begins to realize he has feelings for Hijiri, but Hijiri has a long distance fiancee. The story follows the pair over the course of several years.

Minato Shindo has savant syndrome. His memory is amazing, but he has difficulty communicating with other people.

When Minato Shindo was little, he dreamed of becoming a doctor. He met Doctor Akira Shiga and he wanted to become a paediatric surgeon. Akira Shiga was surprised by the 7-year-old's memory of the human organs and he decided to support Minato Shindo in achieving his dream. Eventually, Minato Shindo graduated from medical school and passed the national exam for medical practitioners.

Now, Akira Shiga works as a director at a large hospital. He suggests to Minato Shindo to work in the pediatric surgery department at the hospital where he works.

Towako still can't forget Kurosaki, even though they broke up 8 years ago. She now lives with a man named Jinji. Jinji is 15 years older than her. Towako hates Jinji who is poor and vulgar, but she lives with him because of his wage. One day, she meets Mizushima who has a wife and kid. He reminds her of Kurosaki. Soon, she has an affair with Mizushima. A detective visits Towako and tells her that Kurosaki is missing.

It is Tokyo in 1935. 10-year-old Yanagi Etsuko is a young girl who loves songs. Her father Kantaro, a struggling lyricist, still cannot forget her late mother and wastes his life away. Seeing her father like this, Etsuko begins a search for Kantaro’s second bride and the new partner who will be her mother. Her first target is her teacher Muraoka Masako whom she eggs on to land a date with her father. However, it does not go very well. The next person who catches her attention is a salesgirl Ikebe Kyoko whom she met at a department store. Etsuko is drawn to Kyoko’s simplicity and gradually begins to love her as if she were her own mother. However, at that moment, Kantaro’s elder sister Tsuruyo pursues the subject of an arranged introduction with Kusakabe Kaoru, the incredibly beautiful daughter of a bank owner who is a shareholder in her husband’s company.

30-year-old Kamata Rinko is single and a struggling scriptwriter. She has no boyfriend and keeps having night outs at drinking spots with her girlfriends Kaori and Koyuki. “If I become beautiful, a better guy will appear!” “If we grow to like each other, we can get married!” They will not stop talking about these hypothetical questions. Then a younger, handsome, golden-haired guy suddenly utters, “These “what if” women!” and the trio have to face the harsh reality that they are no longer girls. Rinko enters her 30s while still immature, seeking happiness and struggling with romance and work.

“If you want help, but have no one to consult … At such times, make a phone call first!” Akenabe Yugo’s occupation is a “rental saviour”. He is a “saviour” who shows up to handle any kind of impossible demand for a limited time only. This is a peculiar, innovative rental service which has appeared as a result of a movement in the rental industry. But Akenabe is certainly not a fellow to be worshiped as a saviour. He is just a very good-natured middle-aged man who is forced to be one as a way to make supplementary income through this commission-based, for-profit, confidential service because he has a huge debt and a wife and child. On the other hand Aoi Denjiro, who is a “rental saviour” together with Akenabe, is a big show-off who loves attention.

In 1947, a year heavily tinged by the scars of war, Kitazawa Taro, Mitamura Kiichi, Arikawa Nobuo and other fellow poets who would play a central role in post-war Japan’s modern poetry movement gathered for the launch of the poetry magazine ‘Arechi’. 28 years later in 1975, a 53-year-old Kitazawa works at a newspaper’s proofreading department as he continues scrape by composing poetry. Although he is not prolific as a poet, he cherishes ordinary happiness every day surrounded by his wife Haruko and their daughter Yuko and son Sho. But a big turning point comes for Kitazawa one day. He develops frequent contact with Akiko, the wife of his good friend Mitamura. Falling in love with her, he abandons his job and leaves his wife Haruko and two children behind. As he starts to live with Akiko who has also left home, he recovers an unprecedented passion and “words”. Each of them start to live the life of the “wasteland”.

DRAMA

Sakuragi Ippo (Mukai Osamu) is a contract staff of the human resource rental company ‘Yujou Monogatari’ which dispatches “friends, significant others and families” to lonely customers in Tokyo. His occupation involves spending his days covering the loneliness and emotional scars of others. Ippo is good looking and also popular with clients. However, he has absolutely no intention to have a family of his own although he is over 30. The reason for this is his memory of being abandoned by his beloved father, Takeshi (Nagatsuka Kyozo) when he was a child. Takeshi suddenly left home 20 years ago. Ippo’s mother, Taiko (Tanaka Yuko), now lives alone in the family home by the seaside of the Miura Peninsula. Ippo has a younger sister, Honoka (Murakawa Eri), who is a bus tour guide. But they not even know each other’s contact information although they are both in Tokyo. Despite Taiko’s frustration at her children who will not even come back for New Year, she firmly watches over the house and acts as if her long-lost husband and children will come home anytime. One day, Taiko receives a phone call from Honoka who says, “I want you to meet the other party’s family because I’m getting married”. At the same moment, Ippo is masquerading as a family member of the elderly Murakoshi Kotoko (Kusamura Reiko), a regular ‘Yujou Monogatari’ client who lives alone. A “job” falls into his lap. He goes back home to the seaside town where his mother is waiting. Then his father unexpectedly turns up after being out of touch for 20 years … …

Niko, a middle schooler in Japan, witnesses a fight between two strangers on her way home from school. Desperate to talk to someone about the event but too afraid to tell her family, she responds to an ad for the "Tele-Club" and gets in touch with a robot-obsessed otaku named Ichiro Sudo. The two team up to solve bizarre cases taking place all over the city, as assigned by a retired spy and her eccentric assistant.

Set in a small restaurant in the corner of a shopping district. The unusual eatery is only open after midnight, and its standard menu consists of just a single choice. However, the customers still come for the amusing chatter and the proprietor's willingness to cook any dish that they request. This drama depicts the lives of the restaurant's patrons, including a yakuza, an unsuccessful actor, a group of office ladies, a newspaper delivery boy, and a stripper.

Sakaki Makio, also known as "Tornado" is a tough 27-year-old high school drop-out. By academic standards, he's pretty dumb. His father decides to force Makio to return to high school to receive his diploma and he asks an old friend who happens to be the principal of a nearby school to admit Makio. If Makio doesn't graduate, the position of boss will be given to his younger brother, Mikio.Furthermore, he must pose as a 17-year-old during school hours and in the presence of any classmates or teachers outside of school. If his cover is blown, it would be the end of his high school career as well as his hopes to become boss. Things start out rough and tough as Makio's violent temper is tested. As the lessons and days go by he learns there is much more to school than just tests and studying.
