Wie Dae-Han is an ex-lawmaker and is a materialistic kind of politician. He wants to get elected as lawmaker again. One day, 18-year-old girl Da-Jung comes to him. She tells him that he is her real father. Her mother raised four children, including Da-Jung, alone, but she died in a hit-and-run accident. Da-Jung is the only one now taking care of her 3 younger siblings. Wie Dae-Han accepts Da-Jung and her 3 younger siblings. He carries out “The Great Show” to become a lawmaker again.

Set in the 1940's when Korea was under Japanese occupation. Korean people were banned from speaking their own language during that time.

Pan Soo has been imprisoned several times and it is nothing special for him to go there. He does not know how to read or write the Korean language. One day, he steals Jung Hwan’s bag to help pay for his son's tuition fee. Jung Hwan is the son of a wealthy Korean family who is pro-Japanese. Yet, Jung Hwan is a representative of the Korean Language Society. By meeting Jung Hwan, Pan Soo's life soon changes. They work together to publish a Korean language dictionary.

This drama tells the story of the rise and eventual success of a woman comes from an underprivileged background. Im Chi Woo (So Yoo Jin) is an unfortunate woman. She is a national superwoman who never wanted to be a kind daughter, daughter-in-law or a wife, but was unwillingly sacrificed by her family. She is married to immature Park Wan Seung (Yoon Jong Hoon) and she works several part-time jobs to support her family. Under her difficult situation, she keeps smiling and maintaining her positive attitude. Meanwhile, Choi Jin Yoo (Yun Jung Hoon) is a divorcee and he has a daughter. He works hard and tries live positively for his daughter.

This drama is based on webcomic “부암동 복수자 소셜클럽/Buam-dong Revenge Social Club” by “사자토끼 / Sajatokki” which was published from 2014-Sep-2 to 2016-Dec-27 via “comic.daum.com/webtoon“.

Kim Jung Hye (Lee Yo Won) is the daughter of a family who runs a big company. She appears straightforward and arrogant, but she is actually naive and cute. She has tried hard to have a happy family with her university professor husband, but he is violent towards her. She begins to think about her life after she meets Kim Jung Hye and and Hong Do Hee. The last one is Lee Soo Kyum (Jun) who joins the “Bok Ja Club” to take revenge on his biological parents. His father is Kim Jung Hye’s husband. Before his father married Kim Jung Hye, he had a fling with a woman who gave birth to Lee Soo Kyum. His biological parents have neglected him since.
