Plerngrit, or simply Plerng (played by Mario Maurer), is the only son of Pipat and Pongpaew, who lives in Ranong and does fishing for a living. Pipat is actually the eldest son of Khun Ying Tongtraa Chatayothin, the owner of Thai Diamonds Company, or Phet Thai. After Seo Byung Hoon (Lee Jong Hyuk) loses his best friend in an accident, the once-renowned theater director suffers from guilt and decides to save his late friend’s theater troupe. Using his masterful stage skills, he forms the Cyrano Dating Agency.

The upcoming romantic Korean movie ‘Cyrano Agency’ held the press conference at Ewha 100th Memmorial Hall at Ewha Girls’ High School, Seoul, on August 16. This event is attended by its cast, movie’s crew and reporters. The movie stars Uhm Tae Woong (Queen Seon Duk), Lee Min Jung (Smile), Daniel Choi (High Kick Through the Roof), and Park Shin Hye (You’re Beautiful). The movie inspired by the 1990 French movie entitled ‘Cyrano de Bergerac’, depicts a dating agency with a 99% success rate owned by Uhm’s character and employs Park as a strategist. There is a shy guy (played by Daniel) who doesn’t dare to approach a woman he loves (Lee) directly. He comes to the agency and asks their help to make that woman love him. Then, Uhm’s team plan a game trick to initiate contact. But, in the process Uhm falls for her instead which make the two men begin to compete for her affection. ‘Cyrano Agency’ is scheduled to release in September during the Chuseok holiday weekend.

A supernatural-themed detective series – however the ‘supernatural’ won’t be the traditional ghosts and spirits-theme that audiences are used to seeing. Rather, the drama uses ‘super’ scientific concepts as well as realistic methods to investigate a variety of mysterious, unusual cases. The series will revolve around the main character Hung Gei Yuen -- a former high-ranking police inspector who, after being traumatized by the mysterious death of his son, acquires the hidden ability to capture and enter other people’s subconscious, as he deeply believes that his son was actually murdered in the ‘inner confines of the subconscious’! At the same time, he starts to display signs of having a split personality and works hard to study about the ‘hidden subconscious’ in the hopes of one day finding his son’s killer.

Each main character in this series will have some sort of ‘hidden ability’ that makes them different from other people. Even though each of them will have a ‘regrettable flaw’ and perhaps even be viewed by society as being ‘abnormal’ or ‘weird’, this does not affect their self-esteem. In fact, they are able to turn this ‘regrettable flaw’ into a ‘hidden ability’ and use it to help them solve many mysterious cases.

Min Yeong works as a dating agent, and while her field of work requires her to offer her clients the perfect match by levels, she romantically believes that love shouldn't have restrictions. She risks getting into trouble as she plans a date between a low-level class client and a higher rank woman. All seems to go according to plan until we find out that Byun Hoon, the leader of another agency, is trying to do the same with his own client.

Beneath all the craziness, however, a love story unfolds. Haruko can’t believe her TV man is real. She thinks he must be a Yokai (a Japanese poltergeist) and that she must have paranormal talents. Haruko would prefer to keep her lover at home, but one fine day he goes out in search of work. It turns out he has a striking talent: he speaks twelve different languages. His manliness also proves to be more than satisfactory. He gets a role in a TV show and is then tricked into becoming a curiosity in a circus. Haruko loses him, but finally gets him back. Then there is even a wedding, which culminates in a hilarious martial arts scene.
