From the 2011 drama, Utsukushi Rinjin, Nakama Yukie reprises the character Saki. This time round, as Saki Amihama, she will be targeting men. With the facade of an angel, she draws men to her, only to lead them to a destructive end. Like a moth to the flame... but where is the line drawn between the saint and the devil? ~ Fuji TV Saki works as a nurse at the pediatrics department of a general hospital. The young patients and all men love her because of her angelic smile, her perfect cooking skills, and the sheer beauty she radiates in everything she does. However, none of them knows of her amazing ability to ruin other people’s lives while keeping her hands clean all the time. Her targets this time are the reporter of a major magazine (Miura Shohei) who is searching for his older sister, a famous lawyer (Hagiwara Masato) who is fighting for justice, and her main target – the devoted husband and board chairman of said hospital, played by Takashima Masanobu. Miyanaga Saki, a first-year student at Kiyosumi High School, lacks enthusiasm for mahjong and plays it so that it will end with neither a win nor a loss. One day, she is influenced by Haramura Nodoka’s genius mahjong tactics and decides to join the mahjong club. Nodoka is the titleholder of the national junior high school mahjong tournament. Together with Nodoka and the other club members, Saki contends for the title against formidable opponents.

Sasaki Kojiro (1585 - April 14, 1612) also known as Ganryu Kojiro) was a prominent Japanese swordsman, born in the Fukui Prefecture. Kojiro's favored weapon during combat was a straight-edged nodachi with a blade-length of over 90 cm (3 feet) long. As a comparison, the average blade-length of the regular katana seldom surpasses 70 cm. It was called the "Monohoshi Zao" (Clothes-Drying Pole, often translated into English as "The Drying Pole" ). Despite the sword's length and weight, Kojiro's strokes with the weapon were unnaturally quick and precise.

In the second month of the ninth year of the reign of Tokugawa Tsunayoshi, a great fire tore through the town of Edo. Starting from Maruyama, it spread to Komagome. The prosperous greengrocer Yaogen was also razed as well. The only daughter of the house of Yaogen, Oshichi, was then sent to stay at the Daijoji (temple) until the shop, which also served as her home, was rebuilt. At the temple, Oshichi fell in love at first sight with the Kichisaburo, who works at the temple. Kichisaburo seems to be the son of a samurai, whose identity is unknown. Having been left at the temple when he was a young boy, Kichisaburo has known no other life than that of working at the temple, but he aspires to be a scholar. Yaogen is rebuilt, and so Kihee sends for his daughter Oshichi. Impressed with one of his employee, Kanzo, Kihee aims to make him his son-in-law and successor to his business. However, when the subject is broached to Oshichi, no matter what, she refuses to say yes. In her heart, there is already Kichisaburo. On his side, Kichisaburo too, has strong feelings for Oshichi, and before long, their secret love marks the start of a tragic love story

Following Minami Hamabe (Meiko "Menma" Honma in Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day) TV drama) as the protagonist Saki Miyanaga introduced yesterday, the official website for the upcoming live-action adaptation project based on Ritz Kobayashi's mahjong-themed manga Saki has also revealed visuals for other 19 cast members of the four high schools: : Kiyosumi, Kazekoshi, Ryumonbushi, and Tsuruga. The live-action project includes four-episode TV series to be aired on MBS/TBS in December 2016 with one special episode on January 8. and a feature film to be released in theaters in February 2017.

This is a short 20-minute film by Hiroshi Ishikawa (director of Su-ki-da), starring Horikita Maki and Kuroki Meisa. The film simply shows how those two girls pass their evening. We watch them being carefree, wondering and having fun, but only towards the end the viewer understands the meaning of all these. Amazing performances by both actresses.

She is able to do so, even though she is just a bank clerk without higher level powers. Because of her character, Mai Hanasaki will not keep still when she sees a wrong. She's willing to stand up for the side of the weak, regardless of the relation between the top and bottom factions of the bank.

Mai Hanasaki (Anne Watanabe) and Ken Soma (Takaya Kamikawa) work for Tokyo Daiichi Bank and their job is to fix problems that arise at various local bank branches. Keisuke Matsuki (Hiroki Narimiya) is an enthusiastic and honest bank teller. While working with Mai Hanasaki, he develops feelings for Mai Hanasaki. Meanwhile, insensitive Mai Hanasaki is oblivious to Keisuke's feelings towards her.

Set in the southern city of Nagasaki during the 1920s, the story depicts the romantic involvement between a beautiful aging woman who used to be a legendary geisha, Aihachi, and an equally aging businessman and amateur scholar and historian, Jujiro Koga, that take place in the city of Nagasaki. Smitten with her talent and mature beauty, Koga invites Aihachi to record Nagasaki folk songs before they disappear forever.

On a spring night in 1784, from Kyoto’s Fushimi Magistrate, Kobori Masakata a live gift arrived at this Edo mansion. A woman had been abducted and sent to the mansion with the threat of death to her parents, who were being held in Kyoto’s Rokkaku jail. With their lives in her hands she is ordered to “do her duty” with the evil Senior Councilor Tanuma Okitsugu. This corrupt official had monopolized Shogun Ieharu’s patronage and was unequalled in power. He privatized politics and handed out positions according to the amount he received in bribes. It would take a man in a mysterious purple hood to try and save her and help the townspeople of Edo.
