Eun Hye who used to be a recognized editor of one of the best magazines for women in Korea quit her job and set up a start-up named Issue Makers. Although it's been two years since its establishment, it hasn't accomplished much, and all it has is its website. But Eun Hye gets an opportunity of life to expand its market overseas. Things start to go hectic and frantic in Issue Makers' office as it is about to launch its first magazine in Vietnam. Naoya Inaba (Nakajima Yuto) grew up abroad and from his childhood experience, he thought “yankees” were the strongest heroes (in Japan "yankee" refers to delinquent youths). He was influenced by Japanese yankee manga while abroad and because of his own experiences and mangas, he is always full of chivalrous spirit. Naoya arrives to spend a year in a high school in Japan. He attends a technical high school which emphasis on the location being center of "water polo supremacy" but is on the verge of closing down. Naoya admires the school because a yankee, whom he admired as a child was once a student there. However, he soon realizes that there are no real yankees like hero figures, only students who spends their days meaninglessly. Naoya is disappointed and decides to do something about it.

Undercover cop Saki Asamiya (played by the dangerous-looking and pouty Saito Yuki, below), gets missions from her Controller, Jin, who has a habit of appearing in her bedroom, unannounced! Though she appears moral and selfless, Saki is being blackmailed by the authorities, on a promise to release her murderous Mom from prison. She gets messages from the 'Dark Director' who, like Charlie, talks to her on a speakerphone. Off she goes on missions armed only with a deadly steel yoyo (with a police badge hidden inside).

The show focuses on a man named Kenji and his younger sister Yasuko, whose parents died in an accident 10 years earlier. Kenji was once the leader of a gang, but in order to support him and his sister, he began making a living as a shojo mangaka. His character normally wears glasses and appears to be a gentle guy, but he throws off his glasses and reverts to his violent side whenever he tries to protect Yasuko from danger. Part of the story follows Yasuko's romance with an intelligent and good-looking man named Jun Tsubaki. Jun's older sister Erika now runs a flower shop, but Erika was once a leader of a female gang, and she used to be in love with Kenji during those days.

A comical look at the Japanese legal system. Big corporate law firm seeking to increase their profit margin notices that a lot of the partners spend a lot of their time on cases which don't bring in a lot of revenue. They decide they need to hire an average lawyer, at a minimal salary, that will take care of these small cases and not complain. That's why the law firm hires Hanamura Daisuke (Yusuke Santamaria)...to handle these minor cases. Daisuke's approach to the law is very unique and the way he handles each case is very entertaining. --ktslab

Juzo Itami, director of "Tampopo," is back in the food business again. This time he hits the big supermarkets and their nefarious ways. They buy cheap and sell high, they repackage yesterday's fish and refry last week's croquettes. Worst of all, they willfully market Australian beef dressed up as Japan's precious steak. But they meet their match in Nobuko Miyamoto, who steps in and cleans things up. Just as she outwitted tax offenders, big business scammers and evil gangsters in previous Itami films, so she now does her level best to make the super market safe for the local housewife.

Serina Hirakawa (Riisa Naka) is a deputy director at a public prosecutor's office. Her father (Yukijiro Hotaru) was a police officer, but killed. Kentaro was charged for murdering her father. Serina's father was investigating Kentaro and his involvement in a string of thefts inside of cars. Kentaro was found guilty for the murder. Serina Hirakawa admired Prosecutor Ryoji Tajima (Goro Kishitani) who extracted a confession from Kentaro.

Now, Serina works for Prosecutor Ryoji. One day, Kentaro insists he is innocent of the murder charge and kills himself in prison.

Several days later, Prosecutor Ryoji meets Attorney Kuromiya (Jiro Sato). The attorney defended Kentaro in the murder case. Attorney Kuromiya tells Prosecutor Ryoji about the real killer in the murder case. Soon, Attorney Kuromiya is found dead. Doubts about the death of Serina's father is aroused. Prosecutor Ryoji is suspected in the murder of Attorney Kuromiya. Serina is dumbfounded by the recent chain of events. She soon begins to investigate the two murder cases: her father's murder and the death of Attorney Kuromiya.

Lee Yeo Reum gets dumped by her boyfriend and, soon after, her mother dies in an accident. She goes through one of her worst moments in her life. Lee Yeo Reum then makes the decision to live a complete different life from before and not do anything. She quits her job and moves to a small village, where everything is strange to her. There, she meets the residents, including An Dae Beom, and gets to know them. An Dae Beom works as a librarian. He hardly talks to people, but, when he does, he talks with a stutter. Somehow he gets comfortable and happy being with Lee Yeo Reum. Throughout this time, Lee Yeo Reum also discovers who she really is.

Shibusawa Eiichi was born in 1840 to a farmer’s family. He grew up helping his family with work, which was to manufacture and sell indigo production and also silk farming. He left his hometown at the age of 23 and began working for the government. He later traveled to Paris and learned about banking. Upon his return to Japan, he helped build up the first modern bank in Japan. He eventually became a founder or supporter to about 500 companies and was involved with about 600 public services, including education for women.

Natsuko lives her dream as a copy writer for an advertising company in Tokyo. But when she hits a slump in her career, she returns to her family's sake brewery in the countryside. There she discovers her older brother has been hunting down a phantom rice called tatsunishiki, believing it to be ideal for creating a new sake. He finds the rice seeds he needs to begin his new sake, but right after Natsuko returns to Tokyo with her spirits renewed, he passes away suddenly. Despite new success at her job, she decides to quit and return home to continue her brother's dream. What begins is a several years long journey, first to cultivate the notoriously difficult to grow tatsunishiki, and then to perfect the brewing process of her new sake.

Goo Yeo Reum is a television producer in the tenth year of her professional career. Although she works harder than most producers, the shows she makes all seem to flop. Then she's selected to produce a new dating-themed reality TV show called “Kingdom of Love.” Her neighbour and best friend of twenty years is Park Jae Hoon, a plastic surgeon who has lost all his passion for work. Their relationship is close but purely platonic. Park Jae Hoon is jaded by his experiences and has also essentially given up on love. As such, he only ever pursues casual relationships.

Suddenly, Sae transfers to another school without saying a word.
