Tang Ying is a junior lawyer who works at a Shanghai-based legal firm. Working at the company has brought her into contact with a young man named Xu Zi Quan, who has secretly developed feelings for her. But things are not going smoothly for Tang Ying: Her co-workers are trying to force her out of the company. And life gets even more complex when her parents come to Shanghai, ready to pressure her into marriage. Meanwhile, a wealthy older man named Ma Qi Yuan has fallen for Tang Ying.

With her parents now in town, Tang Ying realizes that she needs to think quickly if she is to avoid having them interfere in her future. Xu Zi Quan also secretly hopes to do something to ensure Ma Qi Yuan isn’t successful in his pursuit of Tang Ying. So she and Xu Zi Quan hatch a plan. The story revolves around Ah Ying, a young girl who was kidnapped and declared missing for over a decade. It turns out Ah Ying has been carrying out crimes on the orders of her abductor, and Ning Jing employs the help of friendly police officer to unravel her younger sister’s conspiracy.

In this follow-up to the epic fantasy drama series The Legend and the Hero, the battles of good against evil and mortals against gods rage on in ancient China. This time, the central characters have been re-cast, with Hong Kong movie star Ray Lui replacing Steve Ma Jing Tao as the ruthless Emperor Zhou, who is bewitched by the foxy beauty Daji, now played by popular Taiwan singer/actress Ruby Lin. Leaving that infamous role is Mainland star actress Fan Bingbing, who makes a cameo appearance as Chang-o. Based on historical accounts as well as mythological legends, The Legend and the Hero II depicts King Wu (rising star Victor Huang in place of Zhou Jie) leading other feudal lords in an earth-shattering revolt against Emperor Zhou.

The leader of Flying Tiger Mountain sect, Dou Ling Kan, and his godson, Tie Mo Le, just happen to be passing hrough a small town and by its most popular hangout when a ruckus inside catches their attention. It turns out that the entire place has been bought out by Wang Long Ke, an underling of An Lu Shan. Wang Long Ke's motive is to steal a secret letter from Guo Zi Yi meant for Emperor Xuan Zong indicating that An Lu Shan is planning to rebel against the Tang dynasty. Tie Mo Le has always wanted to avenge his parents' death at the hands of An Lu Shan many years ago and realizes that his chance may have finally arrived.
