When high school student Kim Eun Mi discovered that she was pregnant, her entire life changed in an instant. Determined to keep her baby, Eun Mi did just that. Raising her daughter, Jin Hee, on her own, the two have quite literally grown up together.

Now in her forties, Eun Mi works as a physical therapist while twenty-nine-year-old Jin Hee works as an officer at the Namchon Police Substation. Despite being an adult herself, Jin Hee still lives with her mother; a fact which leads to an endless stream of bickering between the two. Though both mother and daughter will agree that they love each other dearly, the two just can’t seem to find a way to get along these days.

As if struggling to find a way to deal with her daughter wasn’t enough, Eun Mi’s life takes a complicated turn when Dr. Park Jin Hong suddenly appears before her. While Eun Mi tries to make sense of the mysterious Dr. Park, Jin Hee struggles to find a way to get along with her works new director, Eun Jae Won.

Yook Dong Sik was running away from the scene of a murder and got into an accident. After waking up, he had no recollections of his memory and does not even know who he is. He only has with him a diary that recorded the process of murders and mistakes himself as a serial psychopath killer.

Yook Dong Sik, a 34-year-old employee. He thinks that he is a psychopath. He is so weak and timid that he can’t refuse anything at work and people at his office are using him. He became the scapegoat at his company. All his friends, colleagues and family are turning his back on him. He decided to leave this world and even wrote a suicide note. The place he decided to commit suicide is the murder scene. He got amnesia because of an accident at the scene and got the psychopath’s dairy in his hands. When he woke up, he thinks that he is the murderer.

Shim Bo Kyung, a 30-year-old, neighborhood police officer. She meets Dong Sik when he has amnesia. The more she knows about his story, the more she finds an unexpected look in him. She wants to catch the serial killer with Dong Sik as a partner of investigation.

Seo In Woo, 36-year-old, the director of the company Dong Sik works in. He is a cold and meticulous psychopath who lost his diary. On the day of his 7th crime, he met Dong Sik and things went wrong. He lost his diary where all his daily life and course of crime was written.

Oh Soo Min (Yun Woo Jin) is a dutiful young Catholic priest, filled with energy. He is a member 643 Regia. The group performs exorcisms unofficially. In the past, his own mother was possessed by a devil. She could not receive an exorcism and she consequently died. After that, Oh Soo Min was taught by Priest Moon Ki Sun (Park Yong Woo) (whose formed 643 Regia) on how to perform exorcisms. Meanwhile, Ham Eun Ho (Jung Yoo Mi) became a doctor after her family went through an unfortunate accident. She wants to save people's life. Now, Ham Eun Ho works in the emergency room of a hospital. she does not believe in God, but she witnesses a supernatural phenomenon and meets Priest Oh Soo Min. Ham Eun Ho faces a big change in her life.
