"Closer to Heaven" tells the love story between Jong-woo (Kim Myeong-Min) and Ji-su (Ha Ji-Won). Although Jong-woo suffers from Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's Disease), he is still a bright and cheerful person. Ji-su works as a co-ordinator in a funeral home. She deals with death everyday and doesn't think twice about Jong-woo's disease. The couple then falls in love.

A 19-year-old girl Hiroko Terasawa working in a matching agency promises her client Masakazu Sekine that she'll pose as his fiancée for a remarkable cash reward. Hiroko moves to Sekine's mansion and prepares to attend the family's meeting. However, this only turns out to be a prelude of a bloody fight over the family's legacy.

Featuring Singaporean funnyman, Mark Lee, this horror-comedy is a story of two opposites (Mark Lee and Maggie Shiu) who try to help three ghosts to fulfil their last wishes. During this journey, numerous events will bring both humans and ghosts closer, where friendships are formed and romance blossoms.

Chow Yun-fat is back as the titular gambler, Ken, with the magic hand. This time, the movie exaggerates his skills with CGI poker cards until it almost becomes a fantasy. But that's to be expected in a Wong Jing's movie. This time, the location is shifted to Thailand where Mark (Nick Cheung), an accountant in a money-laundering syndicate, DOA, is chased by Interpol and DOA. Ken has to save him and help his protégé, Vincent (Shawn Yue). Wong Jing tries to pack in everything that is entertaining into a 2 hours movie. Though it feels bloated, expect a lot of crazy and random fun. Don't expect a coherent story and character development and it will be an enjoyable entertainment. Action is ramped out. The action scene in the middle sees a break-in of the safe house with lots of explosion and gunfire. The movie's climax turns into a CGI set where a fight breaks out in an airplane. Music is serviceable. Direction and acting is fine too.

Ami is a young, cute high school student, who is trying to escape her dark past. Unbeknownst to Ami, her brother is fodder for the the local school gang, led by the young punk heir to a Yakuza family. He is killed by the bullies, right in front of Ami. Something snaps... Ami becomes a killing "machine", seeking revenge on the class bullies. Unfortunately, she loses her arm during the fight, and the Yakuza punk leader narrowly escapes. However, Ami is soon retrofitted with a high powered machine gun for an arm and continues on her bloody path of vengeance!
