Province 77 concerns a Thai family who has come to America. The title refers to a Thai-filled section of Los Angeles that is given the title moniker in honor of Thailand's 76 provinces. The film depicts how the sons and daughters in the family are affected by the street culture that surrounds them.

35-year-old Kentaro (Gen Hoshino) is a social misfit and has never dated a woman in his life. He lives with his parents and holds a modest job in city hall. Kentaro doesn't have any friends, nor received a promotion in 13 years at his place of work. His parents worry about Kentaro being single for the rest of his life. They then go to a parental matchmaking event, hoping to find a woman to introduce to their son. During the meeting, Kentaro's parents has only one other couple approach. The father is Akita Imai (Ren Osugi) and his wife (Hitomi Kuroki). They exchange profiles of their children. Kentaro's parents are impressed with the Imai's beautiful daughter Naoko (Kaho). Meanwhile, Akita Imai is the president of a successful company and, after reading Kentaro's bio, believes he is beneath their daughter. The Imais leave, only saying thank you. They also don't reveal to Kentaro's parents that Naoko is blind. Kentaro and Naoko will soon experience love for the first time, but will it be fleeting?

Taipei, the present day, 24 March. An employee at the Taipei Department of Civil Affairs, Chen Yu-cheng, 28, is reprimanded by his boss, Hsu Tzu-chiang for his sloppy work on writing a Taiwan-China Cross-Cultural Etiquette Manual without knowing anyone from the Mainland or ever having been to China. Yu-cheng is given a week to revise what is already his 10th draft. That evening, while having dinner at a dumplings street-stall, he gets talking to a young woman from Beijing, Qin Lang, when he intervenes in an argument she's having with the stall-owner. Qin Lang, 25, has just arrived from Beijing on a mission to track down Chen Guang, the childhood first love of her 79-year-old grandmother, Li Huan, with whom she is very close: Li Huan and Chen Guang last saw each other in Mianyang, Sichuan province, in 1948, before they were separated by the civil war and Chen Guang moved to Taiwan. Yu-cheng proposes a deal to Qin Lang: he will help her find Chen Guang if she helps him rewrite his manual. Qin Lang, who has no address or phone number for Chen Guang, grudgingly agrees and ends up staying at Yu-cheng's flat. At the Veterans' Association, Yu-cheng manages to get a list of potential candidates, which they then narrow down to six names. As they travel around Taiwan together, meeting people on the list, the bossy Qin Lang gradually warms to the boyish Yu-cheng, and both open up to each other.

The story takes place in a sacred mainland of Odin (or Wotan), separated into four counties based on the four elements - water, fire, wind and earth. The published book(s) in the series mainly focuses on the water county, also known as Atlantis/Aslan Empire, with references to the other counties. There are 7 lords and one disciple for each lord.

Dispatched teaching staff member Nanami meets Tetsuya through SNS and decides to marry him. She doesn't have many relatives and turns to an agency called "Nandemoya", run by Amuro. She asks the agency to send people to her wedding and for some to pretend they are her relatives. Early in her marriage, Nanami finds Tetsuya having an affair, but her mother-in-law, Kayako, insists Nanami is having the affair. Due to this, Nanami has to leave her home. Amuro gives Nanami, who is in trouble, odd part-time jobs.

The film is set in the early 20th century, during the Japanese colonial rule of Korea. Jeong Taek is a master of Pyongyang Nalpharam, a form of the ancient Taekkyeon martial art perfected on Mount Taeseong near Pyongyang. He returns home one day to find his father poisoned by Korean-born Japanese woman Mieko, who claims that the elder was responsible for the death of her own father. At first mistaking the woman for his childhood sweetheart, So Gyeon, Taek is forced into action when Japanese forces lay claim to the sacred texts containing the secrets of Pyongyang Nalpharam.
