In the 1970s, Korea is under the absolute control of President Park who controls the KCIA, the organization with an edge over any branch of government. The story centers on Takako, a beautiful and professionally successful woman who has recently ended a very serious romance, and has burned out on seeking love. However, when Takako realizes that she is already in her 30s, she suddenly decides to get married, and begins registering on dating sites.

A young woman leaves her job and lover in Japan to start a new life in Thailand.

Haesu moves to another city and opens a cafe to start her new life. Yejin, a high school girl and frequent customer, starts to work at the cafe and falls for Haesu. Yejin confesses her love to Haesu when she is sure about her feelings.

27-year-old IT manager Boku Sato works for a market survey company. One night, his boss Fujima was devastated over the disappearance of his family and damages some equipment. Sato, on the other hand, spills coffee over the servers causing them to lose their client's data. Due to the incident, he was demoted and was tasked to give out questionnaires at the Sendai station. Nobody was willing to participate in filling out the survey except Saki, a woman in a recruit suit with the word "shampoo" on her hand.

Another story is of Minako, a 27-year-old beautician. Kasumi introduces her to Manabu, her younger brother, but all Manabu ever does is call Minako on the phone. While she does enjoy their conversations, Minako finds it hard to take the next step and they never actually go out together. Kasumi tells Minako he intends to ask her to be his girlfriend if he wins the boxing match.

Min-kyung, once a promising young dancer, is now running a small, shabby dance school in town. Her life gets even harder since her entire family is notoriously troublesome. Her father Won-jo is a dotard, her husband Sang-hoon, who aspires to become a film director but can't get himself to finish a screenplay, is jobless, and her son is reckless, calling his dad, ' Uncle '. However, she manages quite well despite their endless troubles until one day, she finds out that her husband has been cheating on her.
