In 1999, Dan's in grade eleven when he transfers to Saint Lawrence’s, an all-boys catholic school. His father is being treated at a nearby hospital for end-stage brain cancer; his mother died when he was only seven.

Dan is close to Brother Anurak, the school's dean and a psychologist. Brother Anurak tries to cure Dan of his sleep paralysis. In his dreams, Dan sees a shadow that suffocates him and it only gets worse when he transfers. Brother Anurak searches for meaning in the dreams; he believes Dan has some sort of complex pertaining to his father.

Dan causes a panic on his first day when he chooses a seat at the desk of Trin, a senior who mysteriously vanished at the lake behind the school a year prior. No one dares to sit at that desk, and no one dares throw it away. He gets to know his classmate Nai and roommate Josh as well as Cha-aim, a student from Saint Mary's who comes to perform in the annual play. As the four of them grow closer, they begin to look into Trin's disappearance while helping Dan evade the shadow that's plaguing him.

Kurumi Ichiki (Ayame Gouriki) is 25-years-old. When she was young, she went to France. Now, after she came back to Japan, she works as a waitress at high end traditional restaurant (ryotei). She is talented with cooking. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Ichiro Ato (Fumiyo Kohinata) and Executive Secretary of Prime Minister Seiji Koga (Kenichi Takito) decide to hire a cook for the prime minister's residence for the first time in 70 years. Due to an incident, Seiji meets Kurumi Ichiki and discovers that she has a natural talent for cooking. Seiji asks her to be a cook for the Prime Minister. After a hesitation, Kurumi Ichiki says yes. She begins work at the prime minister's residence, but she struggles in a hostile environment with the chef and his subordinates at the restaurant of the prime minister's official residence.

Six real-life strangers start their lives together under one roof. All they get is a fabulous home in Tokyo, Japan and a car. As always, there is no script. Friendships, fights, intrigue, and even love follow.

Story of a family of five who realize the real meaning of family after going through a series of arguments.

Wang Fa Cai is a famous chef with three sons. The eldest Zi Yao inherited his exquisite craftsmanship and became the main chef of the "Consumer Pavilion" at the age of thirty, enjoying a high reputation in the chef world. The second son, Zi Wen, just wanted to be his brother's right hand. As soon as the third son Ziyi graduated elementary school, he got sent abroad. Ziyao and Ziwen focused on cooking. Ziyi learned to manage the restaurant. The three sons performed their duties, and the brothers worked together for the family business.

Songward’s uncle, Lim Mang Hong and his sworn brother, Oh Hui Chiang, murdered her entire family in order to expand their illegal business, leaving Pinmook as the sole survivor. She lived on the streets for a while and then the temple, until Songward saves her from being sold into prostitution. Pinmook realizes that Songward is nothing like his uncle. She joins his family of misfits as a teen with a sharp tongue, strong heart, but also totally insecure with her place in life.
