Yano Katsuhiko, a weather forecaster who is divorced and is introduced by his friend, Taguchi to popular radio DJ Yukawa Sachi aka "Love Specialist". Yano recalled seeing pictures of her before but the person he actually saw is Sachi's friend, Yujin.

Huang Cai Wei was engaged to Bai Qian Feng when he went missing on a business trip and presumed dead. She was then forced to marry his brother Bai Qian Sheng. His obvious favoritism of her incited jealousy in his other wives, especially his primary wife Ma Fu Fang. Huang managed to outmaneuver many of the women's ploy using her wits. The story revolves around the 38-year-old Usa Shijimi (Watanabe), who is a high school classical literature teacher. Her students are mean to her, but they don’t realize that she has another identity. Outside school, she lies about her age to be active as the super popular 17-year-old idol Watanabe Mayu, whom the students adore.

The drama describes the “tofu Xi Shi” Tang Doudou, who is on the way to becoming a spinster. This is because she refuses to marry unless she meets a first-class gentlemen, who understands her and whom she loves (therefore worthy of her true affections). After a misstep with the officials, the Tang clan faces its demise, but fortunately, the Zhuang family reaches out to help. Madame Zhuang wants Doudou to marry her oldest son, who has long been both good-looking, well-principled, and cultured genius – yet on the day of the wedding, he turns into an idiot with the intelligence level of an eight year old! Doudou is furious, and runs home, but without money to pay for her father’s illness, she must meet up with Madame Zhuang again. Her oldest son is still lovesick for Doudou, and his mother works out a one-year agreement with Doudou. But wait, Dou Dou discovers something very unusual about her husband’s illness, something a little out of place in the family, and seeks to find the truth – yet her mother-in-law is strangely unperturbed.

Chow Ming Hin (Damian Lau) single-handedly builds his family shipping business into a successful enterprise despite other family members who are either corrupt or incompetent. His son Chow Tin Chi (Julian Cheung) is earmarked as his successor, he is a spoiled brat who enjoys playing pranks on others, in particular Ho Seung Hei (Charmaine Sheh). Ng Yuk Hing (Angie Chiu) is both Chow Ming Hin's right-hand-man in business and love of his life, even though he is married. Eventually he marries her as a second wife and has a child(Tin Chi's half brother) together, arousing much jealousy from his first wife Lee De Yung (Lui San).

Hiratsuka Heihachi (Katori Shingo), a detective of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s First Investigative Division, is an oddball with his rude, petty, makeshift attitude and fuss over little things although he is always smiling and excrutiatingly gentlemanly in speech to everyone. Brazenly stepping into territory that others hate, he exposes their hidden faces and the true nature of human relations to solve cases. On the other hand, rookie detective Saionji Kosuke (Yamashita Tomohisa), the son of a very high profile distinguished family, is highly conscientious, untainted and upright. He is taken on probation by his coveted First Investigative Division, but the work he is given is overseen by Hiratsuka. The First Investigative Division’s Team Hiratsuka is a one-man department with Hiratsuka himself. While Hiratsuka is an unpopular person that no one in the division wishes to work under, he has somehow solved a great number of cases in succession. For that reason, the members of the division speculate that Hiratsuka might have ties with the dark side and Saionji is put under Hiratsuka in order to find evidence of his wrongdoing. Choi Fung (Jessica Hsuan) was a determined and smart young girl. Problematic and a few blissful moments in their daily lives are continuous under the new roof, not to mention a dark secret about Ah Wong when someone from his past turns up and causes even more disruptions in their lives: Yeung Pui Kwan (Winnie Yeung).
