Rerin, the textile professor goes to take vacation in Chiang Mai because she wants to have time to think over about her relationship with Thanin, her fiance. On her vacation, she meets Suriyawong, the owner of The Chang Restaurant in Chiang Mai who descends from the prince and Grandma Bua Ngern. Suriyawong falls in love at first sight with Rerin and feels like she's someone who he has longed for. However, Wongprajan, Suriyawong's relative and the owner of Le Laos Restaurant comes in to obstruct their love and declare herself as his fiancee.

Sokoi Takehachi and Tsumura Aki are journalists working for the "Weekly Dodongo". Their editor, Yamazaki Jiro, had assigned them to stake out former state assemblyman Okase Shohei, who is about to be released from prison. 7 years ago, Okase was found guilty of misappropriating state funds amounting to 100 mil yen. However, only 70 mil yen were accounted for during the trial. Yamazaki has a hunch that upon his release, Okase will be retrieving that money from wherever he had hidden it. Both Takehachi and Aki had tailed Okase to the racecourse, and from there to a street near Kagurazaka, Tokyo, where they lost him. Next thing they know, the news world is abuzz with the rumor that Okase had found the body of a strangled man at a cemetery in Katsuura, Chiba. Yamazaki's instinct tells him that the murder has something to do with the unaccounted for money, and so he decides to bring Takehachi along with him to call on Okase. They pay a visit to the Nishida Stables, where they are introduced to the stable hand, Suekichi Hideo, the stable owner, Nishida Ryuzo and one of the racehorse's owner, state assemblyman Tateyama Torahei. Yamazaki decides against bringing up the matter of Okase, which puzzles Takehachi, but yet Yamazaki does not share his reason for doing so with him. Not long after, a trunk is found in the forests of Mizusawa, Iwate. In it is a corpse of a man. How is the corpse related to Okase? Why was it stuffed inside the trunk?

A story that follows a progressive who overcomes many dangers in his fight for his country and ultimately becomes a member of the Communist party. In the year 1930's, Xiong Baoshan, the leader of the underworld gang who controls all the waterways in Shanghai, exhausts all of his resources to make a final stand against the Japanese. Before he can succeed, he is assassinated in his own home. His son-in-law Chen Lei gets injured and his daughter Xiong Huiming is forced to flee from Shanghai while carrying their child. Chen Lei suspects Sun Benli to be the culprit due to his connections with the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and has no choice but to side with police superintendent Zeng Rulong who has been a longtime enemy of the Xiong Family to achieve his goals. Xiong Huiming mistakes Chen Lei's actions as a betrayal of trust and climbs to the position of gang leader. Can they unite against their enemies?

Troubled high school student Makoto arrives in Tokyo to exact revenge from a past incident. He then falls in love at first sight with Ai (Emi Takei), a daughter raised in a wholesome family. Around Makoto and Ai are Iwashimizu (Takumi Saito), who has feelings for Ai and Gamuko (Sakura Ando), a gang member who eyes Makoto.

Into Thin Air' begins with Zhing and Winnie as a married couple. One day when Zhing is solving a case about a 'Rose Murderer', his son is there. His son wants to play with Zhing and Zhing is annoyed because he is trying to catch the murderer, so he shouts at him and pushes him away. Zhing then tries to find the murderer but the murderer has escaped. After this incident Zhing was fired and wasn't a police officer anymore.

Two years later the series tells us that Zhing and Winnie are divorced. Zhing has opened a service place that helps people find lost belongings with his cousin Super and friends Bo and Yen. Zhing has opened this servicing place to help people find what they have lost and also in the hope of finding his son.

Siu and her father are in the acting industry but they play small parts in series and they help out the director. One day Siu is looking after many children that are a part of a series and she brings them to a fast food restaurant. The children are all running about and being quite noisy. Zhing and Super are at the fast food restaurant too and see all the children running around in circles. Siu loses her earring and Zhing helps her find it. They acknowledge each other and Siu and Zhing exchange business cards.

'Into Thin Air' continues with a range of sub plots, mysteries and investigations. This series is also full of suspense, romance and emotional moments.

Li Hui Zhen used to be gorgeous, but years of declining family fortune added much pain to her life, and her looks slowly drifted away.
