Facing an unacceptable reality, a teacher is trying to reclaim relationships with his family, students and former friends. Reassessing his past, he contemplates how to go on with his life.

When the world is hit with a naturally occuring virus that spreads among all living things, humans begin to turn into insatiable zombies. In a blink, the world as we know it collapses. Furthermore, the few remaining survivors are unable to use the available food resources. They therefore develop a new crop to support themselves. Survivors depend on one profession, their only hope; someone in this profession must brave the dangers to send and recieve food and packages of necessities. These people are called Riders.

Saeba Ryo is a "sweeper" in the city of Tokyo. He works as a trouble shooter, cleaning the streets of vermin, and helping out desperate people. Sometimes he's a bodyguard, sometimes he's an assassin, whatever Ryo does he does it well. In fact, his only flaw is his hormones - he loves the ladies and sometimes turns into an idiot when he's near them. Thankfully he's got people like his partner Kaori Makimura to keep him in check.

After suffering from serial paranormal events, a wealthy family living in LA summons a young rising shaman duo Hwa Rim and Bong Gil to save the newborn of the family. Once they arrive, Hwa Rim senses a dark shadow of their ancestor has latched on the family in a so-called 'Grave Calling'.

In order to exhume the grave and relieve the ancestor, Hwa Rim seeks help from top-notch geomancer Sang Deok and mortician Yeong Geun. To their dismay, the four find the grave at a shady location in a remote village in Korea. Min Gyu is a warm-hearted and cheerful animal-loving veterinarian. However, the animals in his care have many problems and diseases. This causes trouble with his girlfriend, Wha Young. She gets really frustrated by the constant irregularities of his life and starts dating other men.

Eun Hae is a cheerful and proud photographer who has been going out for quite a long time with a libertarian artist, Jin Woo. A Thai girl called C follows her sister into the movie business. The dead body of a young woman is discovered in a park right in front of Kasugano Police Precinct in the heart of Tokyo. All her organs have been taken out. While a investigation task force is being set up, ace detective Inukai Hayato of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's First Investigative Division starts to investigate together with a rookie detective from Saitama Prefectural Police, Kotegawa Kazuya, who has just come to the division for training. The brutal way in which victim was murdered discomforts Inukai. He is never swayed by his own feelings and is feared for seeing through the lies of others. Before long, Inukai and Kotegawa discover what the victims have in common. The victims had received organ donations from the same donor. Inukai is caught between his roles as a detective and a father, but begins to track down the criminal.
