The year 2000- Pop, a bloodthirsty Thai ghost, haunts Sam Kotr, a small village in Roi Et Province. One by one, the men in the village fall victim to her insatiable appetite. An eerie silence grips the fear stricken village as no one dares venture from their homes late at night.

This work is a story of a summer of men and women who could never have met. The everyday life of singer-songwriter Sora, who moved to the housing complex as if she had escaped from a songwriting that went wrong, was blown into the cassette tape left by Tokio, a former resident who made money as a fake painter. Ha Jung (Han Hyo Joo), a first-year college student, is interested in a boy named Su Wook (Lee Young Hoon) who works at a secondhand bookstore near her school. She learns that he rides around on his bicycle, and this leads her to learn to ride one. Homicide detective Go Geon-soo is having a hard day, and the following events happen to him in less than 24 hours: He receives a divorce notice from his wife. His mother passes away. He and his coworkers are investigated by police inspectors over alleged embezzlement. Then on his way to his mother's funeral, he drives recklessly and commits a fatal hit and run. He tries to cover-up the accident by hiding the man's corpse in his deceased mother's coffin. But someone has been watching all along, and Geon-soo gets a mysterious call from a person claiming that he was the sole witness to the crime, who now begins to blackmail him.

Masuda, who had his dreams of being a journalist dashed, begins working at a backstreet factory around the same time as Suzuki. Suzuki avoids interacting with those around him and doesn't talk about his past, but gradually he begins opening up to Masuda who is the same age as himself. However, under certain circumstances, Masuda begins to suspect Suzuki is the juvenile criminal who had been responsible for a killing spree of children 17 years ago.

Nami is a 40-year-old housewife. She meets her high school friend Serika for the first time in many years, but Serika now has terminal cancer. Serika tells Nami that she wants to meet her old friends from the "Sunny" club before she dies. Nami attempts to round up their friends for a reunion.
