Facing an unacceptable reality, a teacher is trying to reclaim relationships with his family, students and former friends. Reassessing his past, he contemplates how to go on with his life.

When the world is hit with a naturally occuring virus that spreads among all living things, humans begin to turn into insatiable zombies. In a blink, the world as we know it collapses. Furthermore, the few remaining survivors are unable to use the available food resources. They therefore develop a new crop to support themselves. Survivors depend on one profession, their only hope; someone in this profession must brave the dangers to send and recieve food and packages of necessities. These people are called Riders.

Saeba Ryo is a "sweeper" in the city of Tokyo. He works as a trouble shooter, cleaning the streets of vermin, and helping out desperate people. Sometimes he's a bodyguard, sometimes he's an assassin, whatever Ryo does he does it well. In fact, his only flaw is his hormones - he loves the ladies and sometimes turns into an idiot when he's near them. Thankfully he's got people like his partner Kaori Makimura to keep him in check.

After suffering from serial paranormal events, a wealthy family living in LA summons a young rising shaman duo Hwa Rim and Bong Gil to save the newborn of the family. Once they arrive, Hwa Rim senses a dark shadow of their ancestor has latched on the family in a so-called 'Grave Calling'.

In order to exhume the grave and relieve the ancestor, Hwa Rim seeks help from top-notch geomancer Sang Deok and mortician Yeong Geun. Sophie, Uncle Man's new wife takes the opportunity to persuade him to leave his estate to her instead of his son. Uncle Man tells her that she would get her wish if she beats Ken in a game of mahjong. Meanwhile, Ken falls in love with Nancy (Shirley Yeung), a lady of rotten luck. All her previous boyfriends were either bankrupt or had died in accidents. Ken's fortunes go downhill instantly, to the extent that when he plays mahjong with Sophie and her lover, Bowie, he's almost cleaned out. Ken was told by his father to seek help from his old friend Grand Slam Ben (Nat Chan). Ken followed Ben's instructions and re-built his confidence in mahjong playing. To make sure that they would succeed Uncle Man, Sophie and Bowie kidnapped Nancy and her sister. Should Ken win the final duel, they would be harmed. On the verge of admitting defeat, Auntie Toni (Yuen Qiu) arrived with Nancy and her sister, having saved them from Sophie's men. Ken, after wooing the tiles, miraculously won 50 hands in a roll and finally succeeded his father as the new Grandmaster of Kungfu Mahjong.

Set at the Hotel Royal, situated in the marshland of Hokkaido, Japan, and follows the guests, the family that runs the hotel, and the hotel's staff. Masayo Tanaka is the only child of the family that runs Hotel Royal. She failed to enter an arts school and she now works at the hotel. She does not show her emotions to anyone.

A story of an entrepreneurial miner racked by guilt over the death of his lover's husband. Set in the fictional community of Tianquan, somewhere in bleak northern China, coal miner Li Guangsheng lives and works with the older Zhongmin, a father figure. Guangsheng, who is secretly having a hotsyhotsy affair with Zhongmin's wife, is mortified when Zhongmin dies in a mine explosion and blames himself for not saving his friend. Suffering an attack of impotence, he sends Zhongmin's widow away. After buying the mine under a new government policy designed to encourage private initiative, Guangsheng works like a Trojan to clear and re-open the site. He's joined in this by Zhongmin's son, A-fu, and gradually makes a success of the mine.
