Aruo, the dragon girl from the East China Sea, is determined to find her beloved, and comes to the mortal Wang Sheng at all costs. However, the fox demon Xiaoman wants to get the most precious spiritual leaf from the dragon girl, and designs to break Wang Sheng's heart. During the 1980s, the Korean government created a special summer camp for "gyopo" or foreign-born teenagers where they could spend their summer in Seoul to learn about their motherland. While the intentions of the program were honorable, the activities of the teens were not. The program was eventually canceled after a few years because the government simply could not control the youth.

Wind and Cloud are orphans raised by the powerful Lord Conqueror (Xiongba), who taught them martial arts in order to help him dominate the world. The plot is based on the first two story arcs of the comic series. Xiongba, chief of the martial arts clan Tianxiahui, learns from the prophet Nipusa that he will rise to prominence in the Jianghu (martial artists' community) with the help of "Feng" and "Yun" (literally "wind" and "cloud"wink.gif. Later by chance, Xiongba meets two boys - Nie Feng (Wind) and Bu Jingyun (Cloud) - and immediately accepts them as his students, tutoring them in martial arts. When Nie Feng and Bu Jingyun are grown up, Nipusa reveals to Xiongba that the latter's downfall will also be due to "Feng" and "Yun". To prevent that from happening, Xiongba uses a scheme to turn Nie Feng and Bu Jingyun against each other but the plan fails. The rest of the plot focuses on the character development of Nie Feng and Bu Jingyun, such as their relationships with their respective lovers, and their journey to becoming supreme fighters. In the middle of the story, Xiongba is betrayed by his followers and loses his powers and is placed at the mercy of Bu Jingyun. He promises to repent and retire permanently from the Jianghu, so Bu Jingyun spares him. In the meantime, a Japanese warrior called Juewu Shen arrives in China with his clan with the intention of dominating the Chinese Jianghu. Nie Feng and Bu Jingyun join forces to defeat Juewu Shen and drive away the Japanese invaders. Towards the end of the series, it is revealed that Xiongba has been secretly plotting to stage a comeback and realise his ambition of ruling the jianghu. Nie Feng and Bu Jingyun combine efforts to overcome Xiongba and restore peace, thus fulfilling Nipusa's prophecy.

Il Doo who was hired by a loan shark, runs along Route 1 to sell the debtor's daughter, Yoon Seo, to a brothel. Yoon Seo who seemed to have given up her fate, follows Il Doo without resistance. Jong Beom, a mysterious man that they met on a broken road where they can't go anymore. Along Route 1, the three people travel together. The story revolves around a master of the traditional funeral play called Jindo Dasiraegi. One day, his daughter returns home years after she left, saddled with debt. Their relationship remains uneasy as she is still in agony over the death of her mother in total disregard of her father, as his heart and soul were dedicated to performing Dasiraegi.

In order to retrieve his passport back, Tien meets up Fan in a Japanese bar. After the few drinks, both of them start getting awkward and intense. They both know that they can never go back like it used to be.
