An overeducated, disenchanted woman, Ja Young, loses her ambition after many grueling years of studying for the public official exam. Which she has failed multiple times. One lonely evening, a beautiful, fit runner, Hyun Joo, glides smoothly past her. Intrigued by this celestial vision of harmony and grace, Ja Young repeatedly returns, hoping to meet the object of her curiosity. Ja-Young begins to jog. The pressure she has felt from other people begin to dissipate and vitality returns to her life. Ja-Young also picks up a part-time job. Hyun-Joo's life is not perfect.

Jang Se Chool is the boss of a gang. He has been in love with Kang So Hyun for the past 3 years, even though she constantly rejects him and tries to push him away. Having had enough, she tells him that she can't be with him because she wants to be the first lady of Korea. Meanwhile, his friend Jung Choon Taek who is on death row finally has his execution date set. As no more appeals can happen, nobody can save him except, possibly, the South Korean president. To marry Kang So Hyun and to save his friend, Jang Se Chool decides to become the president

A North Korean fisherman breaks his boat engine by accident and drifts across into South Korean territory, being picked up by border guards as a spy. After enduring brutal investigations in the South, he eventually gets sent back to North Korea. Before leaving South Korea, he notices the dark side of its society contrasting with its “developed“ image. There, he realizes that economic development does not spell happiness for the people. Although he makes it back home, he receives the same investigations as he did in the south. Then a grave sorrow hits him, trapped in the ideology between the two divided countries against his will.

The film is about "people who are dissatisfied with the country carrying out a kidnapping plan and take revenge toward the people who reign over them", according to Korea Media Rating Board (KMRB). "Regarding the images, it included heavily violent content throughout the whole film", said an official from KMRB, explaining the R-rating and why they prohibit people under 18 from seeing the movie.

Some Content Not Suitable For Children. Contains Nudity and strong Sexual Content Cho Jae Hyun (Moebius) portrays a hunchback mortician who takes great pride in his profession. He works diligently on his craft and interacts with the deceased in a world full of grotesque misery. Adopted as a child, he has endured abuse, disdain and severe ailments his whole life, and the weight of his burden is made heavier by a younger brother (Park Ji Ah, Breath) who yearns to be a woman.
