Yuichi Kaname works as a time scoop hunter for the Time Scoop Company. The company exists sometime in the future and uses time travelling techniques to send its employees into the past to record how they live. Yuichi works with time navigator partner Minami Furuhashi. The duo then travels back in time to the 16th century and monitors the Azuchi Castle, built by Oda Nobunaga and burned down 6 years later.

Momose Taro, nicknamed “Nekoben”, is described as a genius lawyer by the people around him, and yet he is a poor man who lives in a run-down apartment. To make matters worse, he is 40 and still has no luck with women. The kind-hearted Momose also adopts pitiful cats that have nowhere to go in the cases that he undertakes, and there are many of them in his Shinjuku office. On the other hand, Momose’s frequent matchmaking activities undertaken by a marriage agency keep ending in failure. But in a reversal, its employee Daifuku Ako proposes marriage to him. Love finally makes progress. At that moment, Momose receives what looks like a request by email. “Mr Momose, this is the first time I’m writing to you. Yamada discloses that Sugiyama has become useless because of the AD to whom he entrusts the cockatoo to while he is away. He has consulted the popular lawyer Futami Jun who is called the “prince of law”, and filed a lawsuit. These 6 people are complete strangers to each other. They don't know why they are locked in the room, but they try to escape out of the mysterious cube. If they can't decipher the code, they won't get out of the cube.

In 2023 in Tokyo, Prime Minister Eiichi Higashiyama pushes for COMS at the World Environment Conference. COMS is a method to liquify pollutants and store it in the crack of the sea floor. Prime Minister Eiichi Higashiyama gathers young and talented bureaucrats and launches Japan Future Promotion Conference, which is to benefit the future of Japan. Keishi Amami of the Ministry of the Environment and Koichi Tokiwa of the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry are members of that conference.

One day, Yusuke Tadokoro’s article is published in a weekly magazine. His articles warns that Kanto region will sink into the sea. Due to his article, groups begin to hold protests. To ease the situation, Keishi Amami meets with Yusuke Tadokoro, but Yusuke Tadokoro insists that in the near future, Izu Peninsula will sink and that will portend the Kanto region sinking. Around this time, Minori Shiina, who is a weekly magazine reporter, talks to Keishi Amami about possible corruption between a company and the Ministry of Environment. Keishi Amami is uncomfortable dealing with everything, but he takes part in his hobby and goes scuba diving with Koichi Tokiwa. There he faces a shocking event.

The story focuses on a group of mothers who all have children around the same age. Detective Kuroha Yu (Anne) is a sharp shooter who works for the Mobile Investigation Unit of Kanagawa Prefectural Police’s headquarters. Her unit would rush to the scene and conduct the initial investigation when a case occurs. One day, the bodies of 14 men and women are found frozen to death in rental containers in the harbour district. Kuroha, who was the first person to make the discovery, is assigned to the investigation task force for the mass suicide. During the investigation, a suicide note is found. The task force leader, Kaga Kota (Ikeuchi Hiroyuki), believes this case is a straightforward mass suicide. However, Kuroha insists that they should search for the mastermind who assisted the suicides, and has a confrontation with him. That night, Kuroha asks her elder sister, Ryo (Konishi Manami), who is a psychiatrist, for her opinion on the unnatural suicides. Ryo’s advice that there should have been other suicide notes equal to the number of people, spurs Kuroha to set out to investigate on her own. There is a group on the Internet called “Wisdom of the Deep Forest” which talks freely about crimes at night. Kuroha interacts with the anonymous online citizens under the pseudonym, Ageha. One night after the case, a man who introduces himself as Raiun (Kobayashi Naoki) joins the group. The topic that night is euthanasia. Raiun expounds his own theory on euthanasia when a member called BJ (Red Rice) says he cannot understand it. Raiun’s views draw Kuroha’s attention. Kuroha’s low-profile investigation turns up one suicide note more than the number of dead bodies. Realising that there is a person who has not committed suicide yet, Kuroha and the rest of the task force search for this remaining person. But as they get closer to the heart of the case, something sinister beyond all imagination takes root … …

Yoriko Yabushita (Anne Watanabe) works at a Yokohama research laboratory. She tracks trends in relation to macroeconomics. She is 29-years-old and enthusiastic about her work. She also enjoys efficiency and having a regular life. Although she doesn't excel in social settings with other people, her next goal is getting married and having a baby. Yoriko believes that she marry by the age of 30, because everyone around her did including her late mother. If Yoriko finds a man who fills 24 items listed on her ideal husband list, she will marry him. Meanwhile, Takumi Taniguchi (Hiroki Hasegawa) is 35-years-old and unemployed. He did graduate from college, but he spends his days reading books and listening to music. He's not interested in dating or getting married, because he knows he lacks a source of income. He lives with his mother and knows that when she passes away, he can't continue his current lifestyle. Takumi Taniguchi then decides to find a woman who is capable of supporting him financially. Yoriko Yabushita and Takumi Taniguchi, who both think of marriage as a contract, begin to date with the goal of getting married.

Every day, bank branches encounter various problems like missing money, information leaks, loan problems & breach of duties. Mai Hanasaki's (Anne Watanabe) job is to go there and fix the problems. She is able to do so, even though she is just a bank clerk without higher level powers. Because of her character, Mai Hanasaki will not keep still when she sees a wrong. She's willing to stand up for the side of the weak, regardless of the relation between the top and bottom factions of the bank.

Uno Meiko is the daughter of parents who run a western style restaurant in Tokyo. She marries and moves to Osaka with her husband. Meiko experiences cultural differences between Tokyo and Osaka, as she lives as a mother and wife in Osaka.

Manabu Yukawa is invited for a presentation on Submarine Mineral Resources Development in Harigaura. He stays at an inn. Manabu meets Kyohei who came to the inn, which is run by his aunt's family, for summer vacation. The next morning, Tsukahara, who is another guest at the inn, is found dead on the bank of a port. Manabu becomes involved in the case.

Teacher Akira Kamiyama tried to stop a bullying case and the bullying became his own trauma. Since then, Akira has decided to not get involved if its not absolutely necessary. He then begins teaching at a middle school and moves into a new apartment. Akira then discovers that his apartment also houses a ghost named Akane, who was a teacher before she died. Akira Kamiyama and Akane then solve problems which the middle school students have.

Set in the year 2017, the Japanese government attempts to secretly control the DNA of its people. Ryuhei Kagura is a top scientist in the field of DNA analysis. He works at the DNA analysis institution run by the National Police Agency.

When the inventor of the DNA analysis system is murdered, Ryuhei Kagura's own DNA is found at the murder scene. Ryuhei Kagura becomes the prime suspect and then he becomes a fugitive. Veteran detective Reiji Asama goes in pursuit.

High school student Watanuki Kimihiro has the ability to see spirits and monsters but is actually plagued with them. Coming home one day, he’s once again assailled by evil apparitions but his feet lead him to a strange shop. When he sees a cat in a difficult sitation, he has no qualms about taking the cat to his office. Right now, Taro has 11 cats in his office.

A funeral for the president of a shoe company is held. While Ohkochi Susumu, the son of the deceased company president, thanks the attendees, the hearse carrying his dead father suddenly drives off. The funeral turns chaotic.

Later, Susumu goes to see Taro to ask for his help. There's an undisclosed reason why he did not report the incident to the police. Susumu tells Taro that he also received a phone call demanding 15.4 million yen to get his father's body back. Susumu then asks Taro to solve the case discreetly. Taro then uses his deductive reasoning to solve the case.

Tsunoda Miki is a graduate of a second-rate university who manages to find a job at a top-notch company.
