Detective Higuchi Shogo and Emergency Command Center Leader Tachibana Hikari continue to work together to save victims and catch criminals as quickly as possible. They face an evil criminal, but the criminal is not a simple evil person. The criminal exhibits exploding anger, which some younger people have against society. Younger people feel the criminal's behavior is not just a crime, but like representing themselves.

Kimijima Hayato works for a big manufacturing company. He wants to be successful at his job and he is mentioned for a promotion, but he opposes the company undertaking a project led by his boss. This leads to Kimijima Hayato being demoted to a chief of general affairs position at a factory in the province. He is also ordered to work as the general manager of the company's rugby team named Astros. The Astros were once a formidable team, but they have been losers in their recent past. Kimijima Hayato hopes to regain his standing at the company by rebuilding the Astros into a powerhouse, but he doesn't have any knowledge about rugby.

One day, Hiroto is scouted by Haruhiko Madarame. Haruhiko Madarame is the head of Madarame Law Firm which is one of the biggest law firms among the 4 big law firms. Hiroto Miyama begins to work with Atsuhiro Sada. Atsuhiro Sada is a lawyer specializing in civil cases and makes lots of money for the law firm. He doesn't have any interest in criminal cases which can not make money.

Saigo Takamori, the hero of the Meiji Restoration, was born to a poor, low-ranking samurai family in the Satsuma domain (present day Kagoshima Prefecture). His simple honesty caught the attention of its charismatic feudal lord of Satsuma, Shimazu Nariakira. Nariakira’s assertion that the love of people is what will enrich and strengthen the nation captivated Saigo who took on Nariakira’s secret mission and eventually became a key person for Satsuma. Not a portrait of him survives today and much of his life is a mystery. He is a man who was twice exiled and thrice married. He overthrew the Tokugawa Shogunate with exceptional bravery and action. Although he accomplished the restoration, he lost his life in a fight with the new Meiji government.

Set during the Edo period. Ichiro Onodera’s father dies suddenly due to a fire at home. 19-year-old Ichiro Onodera (Kento Nagayama) comes home. His father was supposed to prepare Sankin-kotai and lead the lines of Sankin-kotai to Edo. After his father's death, Ichiro Onodera leads the lines of Sankin-kotai and heads to Edo. During the journey, he faces various cases and schemes which targets his family.

Igawa portrays a woman named Tamaki Rei who lost both of her parents in an aircraft accident in France when she was a child. Halfway into her thirties, Rei decides to travel to France to visit the crash site of said accident for the first time. In France, Rei meets Shibusawa Kazunari, (Fujimoto Takahiro), the director of the budget bureau of the Ministry of Finance, and immediately falls in love with him. Kazunari lost his wife in the same accident and has two sons, who are both already adults by now. The oldest son (Saito Takumi) is follows in his father's footsteps and works at the Ministry of Finance as well. The younger one (Nagayama Kento) just graduated from law school and currently without a job. Rei gets married to Kazunari and starts to live together with him and his two sons. She really puts a lot of effort into adapting herself to the family of three adult men, but her beauty and young age soon bring discord into the Shibusawa family. The older son begins to feel attracted to her and Rei eventually returns his feelings, because she realizes that her feelings for Kazunari are only grounded in his resemblance to her late father. During the late Heian era, a youth who did not know his birth parents was raised by the Heike (also known as the Taira), a samurai clan of emerging influence. Taira no Kiyomori (Matsuyama Kenichi) was in truth the illegitimate son of Emperor Shirakawa. With his adoptive father, Tadamori (Nakai Kiichi), he got rid of the pirates in the Seto Insland Sea, and was trained to be a samurai. In a period where the samurai were being discriminated by the aristocrats of the upper echelons of society, Kiyomori, who was adept at winning hearts and minds, controlled the pirates. He worked to reform the aristocracy, persisted with the way of life of the samurai and built up the mighty Taira clan (Nakamura Baijaku, Kamikawa Takaya, Fujimoto Takahiro, Daito Shunsuke). Before long, he rose from a senior courtier of the third rank to become the chief minister and the ruler of Japan.
