He takes in stride all the snide comments and innuendos from his in-laws, as he is not bothered about inheritance and what-not. In fact, Ikuo does not even get involved in the politics at the hospital, as his dream is to go to remote places that lack medical practitioners so as to be able to help as many people as possible. Will Ikuo and Kaede be able to lead a normal family life? Or will they be dragged into an ugly battle over the family fortunes? At the Playboys Private Detective Agency, all the members are men older than 55. The director of the private detective agency is an ex-detective. The members of the agency have varied backgrounds like a former taxi driver, physician and ex-Olympic athlete. Koichiro Iwase (Katsumi Takahashi) worked in the sales department of a consumer electronics company, but he now works as a private detective. He tries to solve clients' request, while sometimes cooperating and sometimes opposing the other members of the Playboys Private Detective Agency.

Haruki Hanyu, who worked as a prosecutor, changes sides and becomes an attorney. He opens his law office "NEXUS". The 31st NHK Asadora Drama is Oshin. Oshin tells the story of a girl born in a very poor rural family in Japan, who through hard work and perseverance eventually triumphs over pain and adversity to achieve fame and success. He used to be a normal police detective working at the First Investigation Division, but one day he lost his partner because of a grave mistake. After this incident he quit his job and got hired by a private detective bureau that helps the police with secret undercover investigations.
